Keeping up with today’s theme.
I’m hard pressed to find an American city cleaner than Charlotte.
I found Tampa and San Diego to be pretty nice.

I don't know if it would be considered a large city but Raleigh was always clean in my experience as well. Granted, I haven't been there in around 10 years

Asheville
Half the town is Old Money.
The hippies in the other half are dirty, but the streets themselves are clean.

Honestly, Chicago, at least in the areas I frequented, was surprisingly clean

I don't know if it's because Im comparing it to Paris, but I thought London was pretty clean.

Ann Arbor
San Diego (la jolla )
West Palm
I’ll agree with most of Charlotte. There’s some crusty parts just like the others have some as well.

Cary (Raleigh burb) is ridiculously nice, even though it has gotten more liberal over the years.
NC in general is a very well run state.

If we are moving internationally Singapore City is going to be really hard to beat in major sites. Zurich is even cleaner but not sure it makes the major city level on an international level.

To be honest, clean cities are great to live in, but boring to visit. Many lack culture.

DC is very clean but also has tons of money spent to make sure it looks good

The only city in Idaho you could even argue is a major city is Boise and it is probably 5 times the size of Coeur D’Alene and Boise is at best 1/3 the size of Baton Rouge which I think few people would argue is a major US city.

Not US, but Vienna, Austria, and it’s not particularly close for me. Place was so absurdly clean that you almost didn’t want to touch anything. Felt like a museum.
On the more “lived in” side, major cities in Japan are impressive. There’s a culture of carrying your trash with you (even food trash) until you have a place to throw it away. Doesn’t matter how far you have to go, or how long you have to hold onto it. And for the rare piece of trash that makes it to the ground, you have guys walking around wearing literal sashes across their chests, picking up trash like it’s their solemn duty.

Wasn't Milwaukee considered one of the cleanest cities in America a decade and a half ago? Is that still true?
