that's not censorship. Clay Travis does not have a divine right to appear on CNN. He was a guest and that invitation was revoked.

this is why you right wingers are just as bad as the lefties whining about this because he said boobs.

clay doesn't work for fox sports. he makes all his money from oktc (not affiliated with fox anymore). premiere radio networks own fox sports radio.

I get the feeling Clay knew saying that on live TV would get him into trouble eventually. Saying it live on CNN to a woman is a bit different than saying it on periscope to the people that actually like him.

i'm tired of you snowflakes abusing words like censorship and free speech. If you're on someone else's show you don't get to take over the show and say anything you want. It was a goofy thing to say and the host overreacted but censored? Give me a break drama queen.

I think a lot of people here will acknowledge that what he said was trashy and unprofessional (it was). They are laughing at the outrage over something that is nothing more than a sophomoric joke.

Clay is better in written form

But he's a valuable soldier in the absurd culture war, so I hope he doesn't get in real trouble

Yeah, going on to a "serious" news show and doing planned stunts SHOULD get you kicked off.

the normal response from a reasonable person would be "sorry about those antics folks, we hoped Clay would actually provide some real input..."

That makes you look reasonable and makes Clay look stupid.

By CNN and Brook responding like they did "OMG NEVER OK!!!" it just validates everything Clay is about

it's more about just this. The right has been fear mongered to death about the boogeyman media and boogeyman PC culture that they are now triggered because someone can't completely take over a platform that isn't theirs.

It wasn't sexist, i wouldn't even say it was trashy, it was just goofy but also calculated to do exactly what it did. Cheers to Clay on that. Just stop whining that the host of a show doesn't let the guests run their program.

That's a fair point. But it's not like he was the one driving it home. It was both of them who made him repeat himself 3 times. And now the story is "how dare Clay continually mention boobs on national tv" as if that word hasn't been said thousands of times on cable probably just this year.

It's as if the hypocrisy of the host saying she fully supports the 1st Amendment and free speech a minute before then cutting off speech she doesn't agree with washes completely over your head

It actually is censorship. But CNN has the right to censor what they deem unacceptable.
