Dude I know, I wouldn't leave the house during certain hours just to not be stuck in that shite. An it's the worst drivers imaginable.

Coastie?

Houston and I refuse to believe there's worse anywhere else.

Atlanta can be terrible. The stretch of I-10 from Theodore to Daphne is consistently terrible.

I've lived in L.A., S.F. and now Honolulu. All 3 suck balls, but L.A. and Honolulu are the worst. Honolulu was voted #1 worst traffic last year and L.A. was #2.

Obviously nobody has been to Mexico City or San Juan Puerto Rico. Total ignorance of lights, signs, and traffic flow. Pile on the black smoke coming out of the buses and trucks and you're begging for the apocalypse.

I live in Houston and up until a month ago had a 100 mile roundtrip commute. My answer:

Baton Rouge

It's known as a shithole for traffic even in Texas. Anyone planning to drive through Louisiana to somewhere else typically plans around timing of BR rush hour.

Houston is bad, but DC and Atlanta are worse from what I've experienced. Hell, DC and Atlanta are consistently worse than any day that I was in Los Angeles.

I'm surprised no one has said Chicago yet. I've only been once, but it was horrendous. Took an hour to go about 3 miles at 2:15 in the afternoon.

Vegas surprises me, I would think with a large part of the workforce not working a typical 9-5 that rush hour wouldn't be as bad.

Hard for me to say Chicago or NYC, as I have been both places many times and even lived in NYC; yet I have never driven at either place. I awlays took public transportation.
