City with the worst rush hour traffic you've ever been in?

I'd hope no one who's been outside Louisiana would say BR, although it is terrible during the school year. I'd have to say Houston, some parts of 288, 45 and 610 are just GOD AWFUL. I've never driven in it but I hear Atlanta can be a parking lot most of the time.

ETA: like BR, no loop. Gotta go right through it to get around.

New York heading back into New Jersey. You could have 60 lanes each way & still be a cluster.

Only as a passanger:

-285 when i was in the ATL area sucked pretty badly.

-The Beltway in DC isn't fun.

-I-95 from WPB to MIA was bad when I was a kid, actually got worse when I visited recently.

Surprisingly, I never had issues with the 405 in SoCal, but I guess I timed it well

Mobile as well, but I think the traffic goes from good to fricking standstill with one wreck.

I once had to wait two light cycles during rush hour in Yazoo City. That's not an exaggeration, either.

As far as driving: Atlanta or Dallas

As far as sitting in a cab and cringing at the rising meter: NYC

Even as much as I've traveled outside the state, no other place has traffic problems as inexplicable as BR. A city this size shouldn't make every street a parking lot in the afternoon

Eta: Not saying it's worse than any big city. Just that it's more mind blowing

Los Angeles

I mentioned not having issues on the 405, but I remember walking in downtown LA, and seeing 101 backed up even at 10PM at night.

Vegas. Too many tourists, and Asians, who have no idea where they are going.
