From a legitimate, feminist perspective then more power to them. If they’re making that choice as a consenting adult and another consenting adult is down for compensating them for that then so be it.
It’s why prostitution should be legal on a federal level. As long as it’s not fed by sex trafficking then so be it
Yes and this will be great until women start advocating for expansive federal agencies protecting them from things occurring as a result of their chosen profession as a prostitute. Going to be fun having localities pass bills to get prostitution licenses and then we have to vote on protection laws, and inspectors, and maybe even designated prostitution housing, and then a debate on local businesses being in proximity to that.
Or how about property owners renting out to prostitutes ? Can they prohibit it or is it discrimination to bar them from renting?
It's not a simple thing at all, and we know women by and large are very pro-government programs.

quote:Lolz. All this does is literally disprove every single feminist idea or notion that has ever come about. Frankly, I'm glad this is happening because feminism in every form is fricking insane. Women were built by either God or evololution or whatever you believe to do exactly this...use your body to get what you want/need. And men were built to use their strength/intelligence/skills to become more attractive to women. It's the way the world is supposed to work. I'd much rather see women go back to using their bodies to move up in the world then see them in board rooms or the military or voting booths.

At one time, New Orleans had all of the above. And it was a fairly good, efficient arrangement. Until (you guessed it) the FedGov got involved.

And then of course there's going to be a huge flurry of prostitute activist groups and as activist groups usually go they will never be satisfied and they will always be unhappy and "fighting for the cause".
You're living in fantasyland if you think prostitution is going to be made legal and that's that without any other conditions.
Even California, in legalizing marijuana, created a bunch of government oversight and legal hoops for growers to go through including taxation. They didnt just legalize marijuana in one swoop and leave it be.

I mean if you’re speaking of some crazy third wave feminist that hates men, sure. But that’s not all feminists by any means, just the most vocal ones.
But in essence, it’s truly feminist for a woman to be in a position where she can choose what she wants to do for a living. And if it’s a stay at home Mom, hooked up with a sugar daddy, whatever, then I don’t really see the issue.
And as far as federal regulations go, legalizing prostitution will go a long way to reducing sex trafficking. It’s not much different than legalizing marijuana in that regard.

Better than fricking the students for free I guess

This has already proven to be wrong and in fact the opposite happened.

To think bad actors and traffickers wouldn't hide behind the facade of legality is naive as frick.
You must apply Murphy's law to all human activity and I dont understand that people who dont and get burned repeatedly because of it.
The US welfare system is the perfect example of good intentions with awful results.
By the way, women very openly prostitute themselves as it is all over.
When you want something legalized you're really just saying "tax me and regulate me". Has nothing to do with freedom.
Most people will perform all their transactions under the table anyways to avoid being taxed.
You really think the prostitution industry would attract people who have intentions to do things the right way?

I don’t get the complaining that teachers do.
I taught and decided I didn’t like the pay, so I went out and got a different job.
I agree that there are aspects of teaching that suck (which is why I left) but I don’t understand why they stay. I know a ton of teachers who complain but refuse to take a step of faith and try a new avenue
I've never met you - but I bet my arse you are not a liberal. The ones that stay and complain are liberal bitches.

You would be correct.

I'm fine with that. I get enough benefits being male. It's just annoying that I'm too poor to be a sugar daddy, and too ugly to get a sugar momma.

I've got the daddy part down. Unfortunately, I cannot fulfill the sugar portion of the deal.

Yea..but cost of living in NY is absurdly high..because liberal cities are always way above what cost of living should be

How does a sugar daddy arrangement work?
Is it like paying an attorney retainer fee where she is expected to give sex when you ask for it... or is it a one for one transaction?
