No one asked how to prevent this from happening?
Seriously... How do we prevent him from legally obtaining a gun? Which he did.

look, I'm not for gun control at all, but this statement is insanely stupid.
No it's not. If someone in the church had been carrying this guy would likely have been killed after only shooting a few people - not after shooting 9 people to death while reloading multiple times.

Just like Luby's in Waco all those years ago.

/u/MrsHeisenberg tipped me off to something interesting. Roof's Facebook profile was made about a month ago, and people who were friends with him on Facebook claim not to know him. This could mean several things, or it could mean nothing. Seeing as the news seems to be slowing down, I thought I'd post this.
He knew what he was doing when he made his SA apartheid/Rhodesian jacket as his Facebook pic. He wanted people to see it.

Possible, but "more guns" isn't necessarily a good answer. It can be an answer, but too many people act like it's "the" answer.
Rather, "the answer" is that this is America, where we value liberty, including liberty to own tools to defend ourselves from crime and government aggression, and there are costs associated with that liberty. We will work in ways to limit those costs without infringing on the freedoms we value, but some costs will remain.

This article has a camera 2 shot of him leaving in the car, as well as the camera 1 shot of him going in. I urge you to go to google maps and put in the address for this church. Interesting that it comes up with a different name, Mother Emmanuel, not odd, churches change names. But then look at the building vs the pictures. He entered through the Northwest corner if we are to believe camera 1, and his car is behind him, parked in the first spot next to that door, it's an angled spot. Camera 2 shot seems to show him backing out of another spot, which of course is on the North side of the building. If he's backing out of there, how did he get his car turned around and out that way? And if camera 2 is showing him coming not going, again he would have to do a multi point turn to get parked in that spot.
Rambling, but if you go to google maps and check it out vs the pictures in this article, I think you'll see what I'm saying. Something is not right.

I think this whole thing is staged bullshite, it's the morning after, all of a sudden they have his facebook page, it's plastered all over the news, there are stories about a prior arrest.
Doesn't this seem to be moving a little fast folks?

What are the odds, even with the most lax gun laws, that an African Methodist Episcopal prayer group on Wednesday night with 7 women (including the one who lived.. not sure if confirmed or not) and 3 men is going to include somebody carrying a gun?

Huh? I was referring to the south as a whole (I live in Georgia). And I'm not sure Louisiana would be the obvious leader in that category anyway.
My bad, thought you meant south carolina.
In a north v south thing, I've seen way more dehumanizing acts toward black people up north than down south.
We took a road trip a few years ago and my buddy couldn't hail a cab for us while we paid out. We got outside and he was still standing there with no one around him. White people were literally getting as far away as possible from him on a sidewalk.
Pure idiocy.
I don't know if anyone has seen yet, half the shooter's facebook friends are black.

Thank you
More law abiding citizens need to be strapped. To stop these crazy animals in their tracks. That's the best defense to these shootings. Not some laws, tge guy felt the need to kill nine people, you think he gives a shite about a law. He could of used a bomb, or other devices as weapons

True but they also all claim to not know him IRL.

Times have changed, sadly it needs to be more common

So now we are saying folks should carry guns to church. Got it. Look, the movie theatre? I get it. Armed guards at schools? I get it. But we shouldn't be pushing this narrative of "if someone in church had a gun, they could have prevented this."
I mean, come on. Church. We are talking about church.

I agree that Obama's take on this is disgusting and shameful. But let's not fight stupidity with stupidity.

Not true. He just wants police and military to have them.
Which, of course, is never a good thing.
OH, and if you're in public service (prosecutor, judge, politician) you should be carrying.
Prosecutor friend of mine doesn't go outside of his house without carrying.
