And I just clicked the CHS link, why the hell are 4 of these kids already 19? That would mean they'd have been 6 years old when starting kindergarten.

Summer birthday months can be tough for starting kindergarten on time. My son turns 5 at the end of June and we’re probably going to send him to 5K instead of kindergarten. He’ll start kindergarten when he’s 6.

My son is a freshman at BRMHS. Prior to his freshman year he went to a private school from pre-k through 8th grade where he made straight A's and was the top student in his grade every year. This year he is making straight A's and has a 4.1 GPA but is pissed because when class ranks came out he was ranked 51 out of 450 freshman.

If I was that brilliant I wouldn't mind coming to BR and owning the place

That's probably why I'm not brilliant though

I challenge you to find a more diverse university than Southern.

I have no doubt Southern has its merits, but diversity is not one of them.

Schools are teaching to the test and these kids take dozens of practice tests. No surprise this seems to be happening more often

The article admitted as much. Look, these kids are clearly smart (one of them said he planned to go to LSU, BTW). But they have been gearing up for this thing since middle school.

One of my nephews took it this year as a 9th grader with no prep and made a 31. He probably could have made at least two or three points higher with some preparation.

Going by their pictures, I don't think there are many stellar athletes in that bunch.

If there were no public schools in Louisiana Angola would shut down. They’re feeders for prison

One is a public school, the other is a private school. Maybe the media has easier access to public school files?

Does it really fricking matter?
