It's not bad looking.
I'm an in the process of turning my grandpas old Plymouth voyager into a kayak hauling fishing van. Gonna put rod holders on ceiling (nice because I can store one piece 7'rods) roof rack for kayak. And maybe a cot to sleep on if I want to spend the night somewhere. May even add a livewell
It will be the only "cool" minivan in my book.

When were minivans ever cool?
If you've got multiple little kids, there's no better way to do it.
We resisted for years, now it's all we'll ever own.

Lipstick on a pig...Anyone that owns & drives a minivan should be destroyed. Minivan drivers are a nuisance to society.

If you don't have a pressing need for 5 extra MPG (and have a much larger budget
But regardless I agree with you. If we end up with more than 2 kids, a minivan will definitely be in the driveway.

I've reviewed the photos and confirm that it is in fact still a minivan

We've got a Tahoe and will likely get another large SUV for the next vehicle. We've got a 1 year old and hope to have another in the next few years. I personally rather just having the large SUV. But, I will admit that a minivan would make things EXTREMELY convenient. My vehicle is big, but it's still a pain getting a car seat in, etc. I can 100% see why people get them. Sliding doors would save a lot of trouble worrying about dinging doors in a parking lot while pulling a screaming toddler out of their car seat.

Here's why I like it more than big SUV's.
Scenario: The family is walking up the the car, we push a button and the side doors open. The kids can crawl in and easily get to their seats on their own. No seats to fold back. Push button close.
Tight parking lots are challenging to open those giant suv doors for putting a kid in a car seat. Van doors just slide.
You can probably do this in some suv's too, but we can climb into the back easily (just walk slumped over) from the passenger seat to go resolve an issue on a road trip.

For example, there are some folks who still won't consider a Hyundai
For very good reason. We had a Genesis that was an absolute piece of shite and fell apart after 30,000 miles. That was pretty recent too.
I'd probably buy a Chrysler before I get another Hyundai.

New bells and whistles that no one needs and will probably break a day after the warranty is up. Chrysler would do better to focus on making a car that'll do 150k miles without a problem. Otherwise I'll stick to my Sienna. Yeah, bitches, I have three kids and need a minivan and I lost my pride years ago anyway so frick you all in the arse.

Looks better than the Sienna or Honda van.
It's still a van.

I love people who dump on minivans yet drive an "SUV". You know what we called SUVs 30 years ago? Station wagons.

I own a station wagon.
To clarify: I dump on crossovers for being minivans without sliding doors....I very much like real SUVs like the 4Runner or Tahoe.
I don't see the point of crossovers other than to be minivans for people who are afraid to be seen in a minivan; station wagons for people afraid to be seen in a station wagon.

Looks like a Chrysler 200 turned into a van.
I'm not a van fan except for big conversion vans and the new Kia van

I drive a 2004 pacifica and I say let it die
In reality though it's great for roadtrips or if I had kids. Got a sunroof, heated seats, a tv, etc. But I started having a ton of maintenance issues (electrical wiring corrosion, fuse box replacement, window motors, brakes) in 2014 around 105,000 miles and was debating on just selling it. That could have been from the winters up in syracuse, but it was just a hassle. After fixing a bunch of that stuff it's been riding okay, I'm just hoping it lasts me until I'm done grad school then I'm moving onto something a little better
