Why would any man ever date much less marry a divorced woman?

Probably the case with me as my wife, to me, is hot and damn sure was when we were younger when we met. She straight up told me not long after dating the only reason she was interested in me the moment we met was b/c she knew I'm a fireman. I lied and BS my way enough to keep her interested though.
ETA: I have to edit that she did think I'm cute, but I'm awkward and have a weird personality.

they buy into the social brainwashing that they are "stepping up" and being a "real man" to raise some other guys seed.
despite the harsh reality that it will cost you a lot of money and the mommy will lose respect for your masculinity in the process.
just lol

Yea. You’re a prick. Believe it or not, she had sex with someone, and apparently more than once, before she met you. Get over it.

How are you enjoying this little window into your future life?

Well they aren’t your kids. I wouldn’t fricking care either.

Why is it an issue that I don't want to spend my morning watching these videos and enjoy my Christmas?
Man, this chick needs to run for the hills away from you. Why are you dating a woman with kids? That may not be your main question in your OP, but that is definitely the question to ask here.

LOL at you thinking that she has so many options.

They're not your kids.
I've never been in that situation but I'm not naive enough to think that can work out for 1 second.

However, watching videos of the ex on Christmas morning isn’t one of those things you have to suck up, in my opinion. Kids don’t know or care if you watch. I’m with you on this one.
Feels like I'm being punked here.

Alot of co-parenting / ex related things are unavoidable. I get it. This just didn't seem to be one of them...

It had nothing to do with the ex. She was nervous about the kids being away, was concerned they would have a bad time with the dead beat and was relieved and happy that he came through for once.
But instead of enjoying the videos of the kids with her, being happy that they were happy, and supporting her on a tough day --- her first X-Mas without the kids --- you made it about you and her ex. It was selfish and she was right to see it that way. If you had just watched the videos it might have cost you 10-20 minutes of your day and you would have had a happy GF all day. I am guessing from this post that did not happen.
If you are going to date a woman with kids you are going to have to get used to the presence of the ex and the fact that certain moments in the kids' lives will be shared with the ex, especially if he stops being a dead beat. If you cannot handle that, move on to a woman without kids.

She had her "dream" crumble. House, two cars, and two kids up in smoke.....she'll always bang him and you'll never overcome her want for that "dream" to be true with the ex........if her reactions don't make that obvious as frick.......then sure go ahead stay with her and play second fiddle. And buy her stuff the next time she tries to sell the idea her EX is changing and makes you watch the change that's making her so giddy inside.....

Oh, I think there's a reason why they're together, so I don't necessarily disagree.

Yes I'm sure op knows this only ends badly for him.
He sounds to desperate/lonely to move on though
