She does them all herself. Each has its own theme and every ornament has a particular spot it goes. Her and her mom both get into that shite full bore. I let her do her thing.

I don’t think you want to go throwing rocks in that regard.

shite is ridiculous. Wait until after Thanksgiving at least

Why? This is the weirdest thing people complain about.
Agree. Since when does someone's tree/Christmas lights being up have any effect on Thanksgiving? You can't enjoy sitting around eating turkey and watching football for one day because of a Christmas tree's existence? Weird.
Thanksgiving is part of the total holiday season for a lot of people. Thanksgiving, a quiet December back at work/school, then Christmas and New Year. What's so wrong with stretching that time of year a little further?

It's become a societal norm to lodge this complaint.
It reminds me of how its ~cool~ to brag about not having/deleting social media. Nobody cares.

BUT MAH WAR ON CHRISTMAS

Yea i like OPs sentiment to wait until the day after thanksgiving at least. Otherwise it doesn’t give Halloween or thanksgiving their dues.

Maybe some people just want to get it out of the way for less stress in December.
This is the rationale my mother gave me when I went to check on my parents this past weekend and saw that the house is christmasy already.
I agree with it, especially when she's getting older.

I had no idea people still had a den, a study, and a living room in 2019.

Before Halloween is bit much. Anything before Veterans Day just seems rushed. Personally, I started putting lights on the house on Veterans Day, and finished everything else outside this past weekend. I have to work the next 2 weekends; next free weekend won’t be until 12/7/19. This is the earliest I’ve ever decorated and it feels less like Christmas. I guess decorating early takes away from the magic of Christmas some.
Halloween is such a decorated holiday that it makes sense to have a brief break but especially with a late thanksgiving o wouldn’t raise an eye brow seeing stuff going up this week. For all the reasons you mention. Xmas parties start early December and that’s legit 2 weeks away.
