The wife and I put ours up last weekend but only because we are flying to Aruba Saturday morning and won't be back until the 1st of December and we didn't feel like having to mess with it then.

This year was the worst for premature decoration. Three of my neighbors put up Christmas decorations the day after Halloween! Big arse inflatables too! I felt like I was was in a living Nightmare Before Christmas hell!

I bought a 20ft tall inflatable Santa this year just to piss off people like you.

Inflatables and laser projected lights are the lazy man's way. If you aren't risking your life on a ladder, I don't care how big your Santa is, you don't love Christmas enough.

Before Halloween is bit much. Anything before Veterans Day just seems rushed. Personally, I started putting lights on the house on Veterans Day, and finished everything else outside this past weekend. I have to work the next 2 weekends; next free weekend won’t be until 12/7/19. This is the earliest I’ve ever decorated and it feels less like Christmas. I guess decorating early takes away from the magic of Christmas some.

Neighbors have a big picture window and have had their tree up since the weekend after Halloween. Fully decorated and all.

I’ll give my wife this much, she does at least wait until after Thanksgiving to put up all seven (yes seven) Christmas trees, Miniature 19th Century English Christmas village, antique Santa’s, nut crackers, garland on the bannisters, mistletoe, Christmas table settings in the dining room, and various pieces of Christmas themed art work throughout the house.
