That's a stupid way to shape your argument. The real question is why aren't they paying the same percentage of taxes as you and I?

Considering they are paying far, far more in taxes than you'll actually earn in your lifetime, I don't see what point you're trying to make here?

You do understand we have one of the most progressive tax systems in the world, and that the tax burden is overwhelmingly on the rich right?

The only city you provided in the top 15 per capita in crime is New Orleans, and it's 15th

Ya know, it seems like it is wildly popular in other states but we don't seem to have that same cult following here.

I've actually never been to one.

Not irrelevant. It blows your whole "fair share" bullshite out of the water. And you damn well know it.

And percentage.

And interesting how you didn't comment on the fact we have one of the most progressive tax systems in the world.

You're probably fine with athletes and actors making that type of money, but not someone that runs a multi million/billion dollar business.

Jealousy. Progs biggest emotional liablilty.

Ignorance gets you nowhere. This isn't real money.

The CEO of CHipolte makes less than one cent an hour per employee at CHipolte.

Counter question to those idiots should be “Who else can you put in who can run the business as efficiently?”

Chipotle has been one of the faster growing brands in the country for over a decade. This isn’t like arguing over the CEO pay for a dying business.

Min wage proponents are populists. Which is the lowest IQ form of voter. That goes for both sides of the aisle.

You have no idea
I would not be surprised if eventually Chipotle and Starbucks collab together to make their establishments next door to each other but with an opening inside like the Vegas casinos do

Well, a minimum wage job should absolutely be able to support an individual without life just “sucking.” People that work minimum wage jobs today also rely heavily on other social safety nets just to barely scarp by in life. God forbid a burrito go up 38 cents just so some poor bastard can make a couple extra bucks an hour that still isn’t enough for him to live a life that isn’t complete misery.

This was 2000-04 so not sure how things compared back then to now regarding minimum wage. But I lived with roommates for 1 of those years and on my own the rest and had a blast At some point I was a little over minimum wage, think around $6.25 an hour iirc but I still did fine. I do understand times have changed and younger people expect more and better but it wasn’t THAT long ago.

Damn, that actually was a long time ago

Not a single person in this country "scrapes by" in life. Our "poor" live better than the majority of people on this planet.

That would be weird to assume. Its also a weird analogy because the athlete here is the worker. Granted they arent the concession stand person or janitor. But it would make more sense if the athlete was the owner or something.
