Mad that some workers are making more money?

They'll just complain because the cost of everything will go up and their position in life won't change much.

They aren't going to make a budget and save money either way.

I do expect a raging idiot like you to gloss over the very simple explanation I used though.

Simple is an outstanding word choice for your explanation, but not for the reason you think.

Would things be better or worse if you could go to college and support or nearly support yourself with a minimum wage job at the same time like you could 50 years ago?

I mean college kids parents that haven't made minimum wage in decades can't afford college.

If I was already getting paid enough to pay straight cash for college I wouldn't go.

What are you even trying to say?

That would be incredibly stupid of you, but I'm not surprised

No bit I think their job is far less “difficult” so to speak than other employees. They have all sorts of information and advisors feeding them ideas and info. Do they make tough decisions? Yes? But are they doing all this alone? No

Your source was one city that's been in decline since the mid naughts.

All while the midwest and parts of the south are bouncing back in ways we've never seen before.

It 100% is possible. Like IO said, it would suck. But it can be done. Living like that would suck though, and should give you motivation to not only be worth the minimum. I don't expect a raging leftist like yourself to get that though.
Well, a minimum wage job should absolutely be able to support an individual without life just “sucking.” People that work minimum wage jobs today also rely heavily on other social safety nets just to barely scarp by in life. God forbid a burrito go up 38 cents just so some poor bastard can make a couple extra bucks an hour that still isn’t enough for him to live a life that isn’t complete misery.

An old saying said 'no matter how much you make, it will take 20% more to get by.'

An exaggeration, of course, but some truth in it too.
