Are you saying there isn't a problem in this country with wealth disparity and CEO pay?

I have no problem with people maximizing their earnings, no. Who should get to decide what max amount someone can be paid?

A 4% increase on a $8 burrito? That’s about 30 cents. Not the end of the world I guess

My issue with raising the bottom up is the middle gets squeezed. My wages won’t be increasing but the cost of living damn sure will.

While I see no issue with menial raises, when is enough going to be enough in paying these fricking CEOs that do little if anything

Thats not what people are asking it to do. Just support one person. Why shouldn't someone going to school working 40 hours a week be able to support themselves on the minimum? It's not like everyone has family to fall back on.

That's a stupid way to shape your argument. The real question is why aren't they paying the same percentage of taxes as you and I?

You can absolutely support yourself on minimum wage. It will fricking suck, but it is doable. But that's why it's called MINIMUM.

It's all like this.

I went to lunch yesterday and an old spot I used to frequent and my jaw dropped at the prices I couldn't believe it. You werent walking out of there without spending $20 on lunch.

I don't disagree that salaries can be gross, but do you really think CEOs don't do anything?

Yeah I guess if your rent is under 500/month, you have no car note or commute via public transit or bus and eat shite food 24/7 that's totally cool and acceptable and possible for all.

You are delusional

It 100% is possible. Like IO said, it would suck. But it can be done. Living like that would suck though, and should give you motivation to not only be worth the minimum.

I don't expect a raging leftist like yourself to get that though.

Would things be better or worse if you could go to college and support or nearly support yourself with a minimum wage job at the same time like you could 50 years ago?

It would be great if the dollar had more value, sure.
