Yep. I keep hearing of this imminent collapse, but they keep motoring on.

Plenty of youtube videos about China financial situation. About the only thing that the Chinese people can invest in is real estate. Many own a few houses and have invested in real estate developments that are never completed. The banks have been financing all these investments and they are in deep trouble!!! Bottom line the party leaders realize the problem but may be to late to bail out. Also their population is way to old and are feeling the effects on limiting family sizes. By 2050 the Chines population will be half of what is is today and will not have the working class to grow!!

I don't think most Americans realize how entwined our economy is with theirs.

There’s also laws or regulations that drastically increases the value of real estate once it changes designation from rural to urban, but it has to be developed in order to receive an urban designation.

Big investors buy cheap rural land as an investment, but they can’t sit on it for 10-20 years as a long term investment. They often have to develop it immediately, and hope they attract enough smaller investors in buy the individual units.

Not all ghost cities are completely abandoned. Some sit empty for years after they have been developed before they begin to attract people.

Its a bizarre hybrid, they just use the private companies to manage their risk.

They'll dump toxic holdings on the private companies.

Their demographics are also the worst in the world. Their population has already peaked. Right now they are disproportionately old. In 2030 they will have more people retired than still working.

By 2050 they are projected to decrease from 1.3 billion to around 650 million. That's not good

Which is why if they want to become a superpower, they have to do it sooner rather than later.

They need to cash in all those expendable surplus single males while they're still alive and of fighting age.

Which makes the current game theory of world stability a bit more scary.

Was reading a wiki article about the world’s biggest bridges and like 90% are in China. shite’s insane.

They’re gonna have a bad time in the next few decades.
