This thread should also be merged with the "What happened to New Orleans East" thread.

Probably a mix up of cause and effect. It’s more likely that dads with higher IQs spend more time with their kids and have genetically more intelligent children.

Interesting... a few thoughts:
1. IQ has a strong genetic component. If high IQ dads are more likely to spend time helping their children develop, then the impact of the time spent might not be the reason for high IQ. Maybe its just genetics.
2. I bet dads are more likely to spend time with high IQ kids than low IQ kids.

The libs will call this both sexist and racist

This would mean that the dad would be able to tell his child was a dumbass very early on and decide that the child is not worth the time. I dont think it's that.
IQ is also not street smarts. Wife (no pics) has high IQ but is street savvy as a potato. Point # 2 would mean that her dad would not have spent much time with her based on his perception of potato smarts.

It’s actually neither racist nor sexist, and I consider myself more progressive than many.
If you read the article, it talks about second parent involvement. This isn’t about mom vs dad and IQ, it’s about mom AND dad vs just mom.
