I had a web tv. It was useful for the time but all in all it was a huge piece of crap
I remember when it became a hot amenity for hotels for a few years. It was definitely a huge piece of crap.

Webtv was awesome AF when it's in your room as a 14 year old.

hell of a coincidence, but I was digging around in a bottom dresser drawer earlier and found my old star tack, complete with charger!

Still have this thing. Works perfectly too.
I found Madden '94 today while digging through an old box in the attic. Along with a few Game Gear games the was a Genesis, a Palm Pilot V Titanium that still works, an Iomega Zip Drive with a 40Mb card, and a 3Com 56.6k PCMCIA modem.

What's a vcr
I had this sweet Maranz Gold Beta vcr back in 81. It had a wired remote, each station had to be programmed in by hand and it cost about $900 back then!
The closets video rental place from my house was about 60 miles away.

Thought I was the only person in history that had one!

People lined up at midnight at CompUSA for Windows 95.
Seriously now, VideoGuide was the shite. Sure, it could take a couple days to download your listings, but once it did, it was frickin' sweet! I respected and loved this product and was heartbroken when they discontinued it. Would you believe they refunded everyone's money?
CueCat was 2000 and mail order, but it gets an honorable mention for its awesome infomercial and oh-so-predictable obsolescence. I just SMH when I saw that Dad had bought one. God, he bought some crap. Video Professor was like his best friend. He bought the hell out of that guy's product.

My friend's dad had this camera and we used it all the time. I have a box full of 3.5" discs around here somewhere.
Storage space wise, it would take approx 32 discs to fit one RAW file from my current dslr.

How simple things were back then.
Also,
kids of Christmas 1997: Tamagotchi
kids of Christmas 2016: Hatchimal
guess who can still use their toy, 20 years later MTFers!?!

I remember tripping over that damned cable. We set it up right next to this piece of cutting edge technology- the 8 track recorder:
Who here remembers satellite TV where you had one box for the channel and another to control where the dish was pointed?

I remember buying a Blackmagic Voodoo 2 PCI video card from best buy and the sales guy gave me the 3rd degree questions why I needed it.
I was like have you not seen the new Motocross Madness PC game?

I remember we had some kind of gadget that plugged into the ps1. It allowed it to play burned disks
Had this too when I was stationed in Korea. It was like 20 bucks and then unlimited games. Also allowed you to play movies.
