It's pretty clear that Chicago trounces NYC in every important metric.

Besides that view of the skyline from the steps, it’s also an awesome place to watch the air and water show.

I grew up loving Chicago. I’m a Bears STH (can’t wait to see them go down there again in 4 weeks and stomp a mud hole in Brees arse.) But because of assholes like Rahm, Daley, and Clinton everything south of the loop is a shitshow. They turned Chiraq in the sky into Chiraq everywhere south just so they could gentrify the old Cabrini Green shithole.

After visiting NYC I’d pick it to visit every few years. Despite it being corrupt, I still love visiting Chicago regularly.

Chicargo is friendlier outside of gangland. However, NYC has Long Island and the Catskills nearby, so different scenery is a short hop away. Lake Michigan is pretty too, but Chicargo is too cold.
