Very likely most of the older children and younger men would go on to serve our country in WWII

People have it so bad these days - can't afford to take their families out to eat 7 nights a week making them learn to cook again, had to cut back on alcohol/weed, might even have to downgrade from a Ford F250 and Explorer in the driveway to maybe a Ranger and a Escape and take the negative equity from the 20% interest rates they signed up for to keep up with the neighbors 6 years ago. Tough times indeed.

"Intervention" became the greatest boost to our economy and it still plagues our nation to this day. "Defense" became an industry and we made patriotism a mantra to send kids overseas to die for no reason except to make politicians rich.

I wish hats would come back in style. Seems we all agree they look cool, yet not a derby, bowler, or fedora to be seeing these days.

I got a little uncomfortable with how much time they spent on the old boy passing out at the end.

And yet, I'd rather live there than current day Chicago.
