the incredibly obvious one that's the primary focus of this exact thread.
So there’s a Texas law that makes lane splitting legal?

A car drivers frick up is not the bike riders fault. Drive better.
Have you seen how people drive? You are crazy if you think lane splitting is a good idea. When car or truck meets motorcycle, motorcyclist gets fricked up badly.
You must have a death wish.

Yes. He should wait his turn. If he wanted to be protected from the rain or have air conditioning, then he shouldn't have chosen a bike.

That isn't what happened in the gif you posted. If that IS what you saw, then your license should be revoked because of eye issues.

Why do you feel entitled to skip to the front of the line, from the back of the line, because you ride a 2-wheeled vehicle?
I'll make this incredibly easy for you to understand:
because it's perfectly legal to do so in most states. That's it. That's the entire case. No one cares that you got your feewings hurt at a stop light.

i dunno....maybe check your fricking mirrors?
Because blind spots don't exist in your retarded little world. fricking morons like you become organ donors for a reason.

frick those bikers. For every one who is supposedly responsible there are 10 jerk offs weaving in and out or flying up the space between cars.

That's the exact reason why I don't ride. I don't trust fat-fricks like smeg in giant pickups to actually pay attention to the road or understand simple traffic laws.

frick yeah I do. You chose to ride a bike.
Question. When the traffic starts moving, do you jump back in line? Line jumping as it were?

This is America. We have the right to ride in comfort OR on a motorcycle. Our choice. We get the bad and good in each. So just keep hating. You have the right to do that too.

You don't know about checking your blind spots?
I don't ride because....once again....there are too many idiots on the road like you that just zone the frick out and don't do simple tasks like checking your surroundings.

I thought it was only legal in California? One of the only things they do right.
It's the only state (aside from Arizona's slightly altered law) that states its legality.
I think most everyone else doesn't have anything on the books banning it so it's fair game.
So ol' baw blocking is in the wrong and obstructing traffic, which in most states IS a traffic offense.

Good for him.
Should be illegal for the biker to come up between lanes like that.
Edit - Apparently it is not legal.
So, good on this guy.
Don't break the law. Point blank period. The law is the law and if you don't like it change it.
Per the first google result and a law firm
quote:
Transportation code adopted in 2015 in Texas states that vehicles should drive completely within a single lane (not between.) And in Texas there are no specific driving laws permitting lane splitting, lane filtering.
It's funny to me how if this was a bicycle people would be shitting all over the motorcyclist, but since it has a motor the board is split closer to 50/50.
I think lane splitting is dumb, but if this was in Cali the truck is the clear a-hole.
Obey the law, frick what you feel is right. If you don't like the law cry me a river, all that shite.

I've had a couple of bikes - got rid of them because of the 20 near death experiences I had on them.
Lane splitting - if you're doing 60 mph down the middle of the lane - that's stupid. If you go at a reasonable speed and can control your bike - I don't see a problem with it.

This is mostly a fabrication along the lines of “since the existing law doesn’t explicitly say it applies to motorcycles, it must only apply to cars/trucks.”
In Louisiana it’s explicitly illegal for motorcycles to lane split.

Then don't do it if you're in Louisiana. Knowing traffic laws in the state you're in is a fairly simple and expected concept.

I think there are laws that cover this. "Blind spots" is not a defense.
