Boones Farm. Do they even make it anymore?

Yes, they do. And they have started making Annie Green Springs wine again. Boones Farm and AGS were my demise. And the occasional MD 20/20.

Boone’s Strawberry Hill was reserved for the sophisticated ladies in our clique. We would imbibe 64 oz bottles of Crazy Horse malt liquor we’d buy from this liquor store off Bourbon just past Preservation Hall. They were selling to us when some of us were 15 or 16. That was in the mid 90s when Louisiana liquor laws were something like “18 to buy 21 to drink” and were widely flouted. A wonder how any of us survived.

Ended up taking one for the team keeping an aggressive fat girl at bay / entertained while my buddy scored with her hot friend one night in high school after drinking a whole bottle of this stuff:

It stays in my memory as I recall having to piss like a racehorse and getting away from her to do so - one of the worse urgent pisses of all time and now I bring it up whenever I have any trouble Starting a stream. That and / or thinking about unclogging an outboard motor piss tube with a piece of wire always does the trick .

Finally tossed my cookies that night and mercifully that was the trick to keeping her away.

Then I got in trouble with my steady girlfriend over a hickey that I was unsuccessful in hiding.

Good times ?

Fosters beer

When I was in Australia for work I asked my work friends about their Fosters beer and what they thought of it. They said they were glad it was being exported so there would be less of that nasty beer around in country to drink. They hated it.

Anyone temper Peter Hand.. you never drank it first.. it was late night beer when you were back in your room… bars were closed on highland .. Pedro’s run was over.. you could go through your sofa cushions for spare change ( no bills required)and then walk to the grocery store on the strip mall where cvs is now…
