You just explain how they're wrong. I did this all the time back before people got dumb and started calling me a leftist.
A guy who did just that was just assassinated. Others who do so are similarly labeled nazis, etc. I think you can reasonably make the argument that this has been tried and failed. I'm open to the idea that liberalism - which is mostly championed only by the center-right at this point - is not a failure, can be rejuvenated, is the best of imperfect options, so forth.
But I think the right collectively feels like it is merely playing defense and trying to limit losses against a rival that is hellbent on undermining it and doesn't play by any norms or rules. And I don't know how to argue against that.

What kind of rifle are we talking about?
Any rifle, pretty much. I can't think of a single rifle that would lack making that shot. A week at the range would be all you needed to get good at it.

Deer rifle. 30-06 with a scope. 100 yds is the distance we sight them in at. This wasn't some "it's the KGB shot".

How many police were actually working this event? This isn’t Butler with secret service snipers

You really are the cartman of the board lol.
You can make a great argument and be downvoted into oblivion.
It’s quite an accomplishment honestly. lol.
It's becoming somewhat scary
This thread is a great example of why. People have gotten so emotional they've gone a bit mad.
That's a pretty normal political discussion about a rather mundane topic and people just twisted reality to manufacture their outrage.

Then in your cowardly view Jesus would have never been able to deliver the gospel because of confrontation.
Did Jesus inflict any of the violence?
When guards were approaching and the disciples were going to defend Jesus he told them to stop and put their swords down. I guess we read different bibles.
Real violent fella.

Also massive lol @ mmmmcreampie, as usual, failing to hide his true colors
And Jake, as always, your self-perceived brilliance is only matched by your utter lack of self awareness

I keep hoping some event will unite us even if its some cataclysmic event, but outside of that I dont know.
Its obvious there cannot be decent dialogue anymore.

Yeah, a lot of people are questioning how this happened, etc.
It's a school none of us had heard of. It's not like he has some advance team scouting it. I imagine Kirk probably has pretty good security for someone of his stature. There is no real way to defend against this.

was he just a distraction so the actual shooter had a few extra minutes to escape?
Yes very clever.

From an elevated position? No you couldn’t unless you practiced. This was a sniper.

They have all three branches of the government (including a Supreme Court that will rubberstamp anything they do). This we're the powerless persecuted silent majority act is so very stupid. But it goes hand in glove with beleiving there is a real progressive power lobby in this country.

I think we're well past the point of some 9/11 event bringing us together, sadly.

Why would you ever go out in public in front of the crowd with the minds that are mostly being tossed around everywhere in this environment with no security?
This is what you wrote. Jesus did that his entire time on earth.
Go to bed.

200 yards was pretty routine diatance deer hunting growing up. That's not a shot limited to professionals.

Dude, im not blaming the victim at all. It’s a mere question of judgement. #2 I liked Charlie Kirk and agreed with most of what he had to say. Obviously like everyone else I had a couple of things I disagreed with. I don’t condone this shite and I hope they give the guy what he’s got coming. It’s not victim blaming to question someone’s thinking. Sorry yall are butter this afternoon.
sorry, maybe i got carried away. hard to know who’s being genuine in this thread and who isn’t when you’ve got SECClint, SFP, and Machoman intentionally stirring the pot.
I have a hard time accepting that Charlie ‘put himself in this position’ when he was on a gun-free college campus, sitting under a tent, inviting students to join him in a good faith debate. He isn’t in people’s faces being aggressive, rude, or ugly in those exchanges….more often than not, he finds common ground and embraces the people he debates.
Anyone claiming Charlie Kirk in any way caused this is indulging in the same toxic rhetoric that fueled it in the first place.
