I have no idea what his popularity was. But I think to the extent he's lost steam in views or clicks, he's gained it in meaningful influence. He was inner circle MAGA. Perhaps the #1 example of someone who went from largely internet/social media influencing (although I think that undersells what Kirk did) to legitimate seat at the table, so to speak. And during that time, he became more humble, gentler, more well intentioned. Making it all the more tragic.

Tragic no doubt.

I don’t connect with any of these pundits because it’s all about money at the end of the day. I know I’m a dickhead. But I’m honest.

Agree it is unlikely the neck or head was the aim point, more likely aimed center mass and hit slightly high and to the right. Would put my money on an amateur. Ashamed he didn’t miss by a little bit more.

My thoughts as well. Sadly if he would have pulled just a hair more we wouldn’t be having the same discussions.

Ok

But Kirk went to college campuses and argued with people in person. Surely he's not the best example of this blight you speak of.

They said he regularly wore body armor as in a vest and had a handful of bodyguards nothing crazy.

Didn't deserve to die, it is horrific. But we are heading down a dark (and very gay) path with political influencers in general. There is much more to life than being a social media addict and putting some bucks in the pockets of people willing to do that job.

No one deserves to die for merely speaking. Any sane person will agree with that.

What happened was terrible and Utah will handle business when they catch this person. If they do.

I hope everyone else now sees that you need to be ready if you plan on giving an opposing view, sad but true.

Sadly, true.

He wasn't some super far right alternative figure, his views were pretty standard. He was generally nice and respectful to people.

I really hope they catch the perp soon and it is something simple like “deranged tranny off their meds” or whatever.

Because if not, I’m not sure what the alternative could be. There are way more people on the right that may have been a more attractive political target than Kirk because of what you’re saying.

He said some shite that would piss people off but not “I’m going to assassinate you in broad daylight” type things.

I don’t know at what point you starting going down a list of his enemies.

I think you think that I’m comparing their assassinations. I’m not. I’m saying that Lincoln was loathed by basically everyone during his Presidency and for the next 30 years basically everyone would have found it absurd to call him one of America’s greatest Presidents when the country was a mass murdering shithole when he was in charge. I honestly can’t blame the press for hating him that much when they had members of their family being blown apart on the front lines. 3.8% of Americans were casualties furring the war, whether it be injury or death (not to mention the property damage). That would be 13.1 million American casualties in this day and age, so can’t say I blame them during the fog of war.

I don’t think. Across a couple posts… you were comparing. Let’s drop it? I wasn’t taking it seriously either way

There's only so "ready" a regular person like Kirk could be.

Again, I refuse to believe he didn’t know there were people out there who hate him and we have seen time and time again what people are resorting to.

Hey, no joke I keep thinking about this. MFer wasn’t exactly my favorite but he made me laugh shutting down folks that said “I’m a trans woman that needs tampon s”.

Admittedly, he made me feel sane on stupid topics. In no world I live in should taking someone’s life be a response. I just can’t fathom that being “normal”. F that

In theory yes.

People on the opposing side need to choose non violence, the liberals should have nothing to worry about. This is what should happen.

Keep showing them up on a national level. Kill with kindness.

And, like James Dalton said in roadhouse, be nice until it’s time not to be nice.
