He could have been aiming center mass (which a shooter should do) and either twitched a bit or was dialed incorrectly. At 200 yards, you may be able to get away with a small error and still hit the target.

It was VERY windy here today. Gusty.

Apparently I live under a rock, am I the only one who has never heard of this guy before today?
I knew who he was and whether I agreed with him or not is inconsequential, under no circumstance should a man like him ever be killed for exercising his freedom of speech.

He sure as shite never advocated for anyone to be killed for different beliefs.

He actually engaged them and tried to find commom ground. That's what he was doing today.

It was just to get a rise out of Ms. Bauman because she was so easily disrupted. Just like why I wrote my paper on serial killer cannibals and included all of the gore to see if she'd read it (she admitted to me she did not).

I loved her.

How many shootings involving high level people do we need to have before the people on stage realize this isn’t a game anymore.

How many times can security screw up and not figure out what and where the sniper nest look like?
Maybe they all need to watch the movie “the shooter” about a dozen times to figure it out.

Nope.

I just knew him as the meme guy.

I don’t get wrapped up into all these people’s opinions so I never watched anything he has done until today.

Yeah, they will. Please tell me the bigger successful American assassination since RFK? People will remember, retard.

Nah, if you can’t understand the difference between RFK and Charlie Kirk. Bless

You do know that people who live through historical events don’t properly process that they’re living through historical events, right? Lincoln during his time in office is probably the single most despised President in US history and the press shite all over his Gettysburg Address as extremely insensitive to the falling, and now he’s largely regarded as America’s greatest President (even if I may personally disagree with that).

Funny, digested this thought for a minute… but yeah still no. Charlie Kirk was a social media political antagonist. Lincoln on the other hand… well do I really need to spell out the difference on what people 100 years from now learn about our history? Lincoln will still be a thing, but Kirk? Nah

Such as? This dude wasn't an elected official, he didn't make policy, he simply went around and offered to debate people. He wasn't some super far right alternative figure, his views were pretty standard. He was generally nice and respectful to people.

Stop doing research to try to make a point to disprove me.

I’m right.

I won’t disagree

I have no idea what his popularity was. But I think to the extent he's lost steam in views or clicks, he's gained it in meaningful influence.

He was inner circle MAGA. Perhaps the #1 example of someone who went from largely internet/social media influencing (although I think that undersells what Kirk did) to legitimate seat at the table, so to speak.

And during that time, he became more humble, gentler, more well intentioned. Making it all the more tragic.

The thing that makes me at least consider this being a hired hit is the fact that they only took 1 shot and it was in about as fatal of a location as you can get. Whether that was the aim point or not, the execution was efficient, effective, confident. And so was the escape.

agree. Again I wanna find out who did this shite. And who was behind it.

Didn't deserve to die, it is horrific. But we are heading down a dark (and very gay) path with political influencers in general. There is much more to life than being a social media addict and putting some bucks in the pockets of people willing to do that job.

Yeah, I'm not sure why people aren't understanding this.

He probably had 5 or 6 "bodyguards" to keep some crazy student from getting to him physically but I doubt they ever thought about a sniper taking him out.
