There is a lot of conflicting info about who is more open currently. I thought SC was wide open but the Eater articles seem to show it's mostly take out still.

Which place is the most normal feeling currently? I.e. open shopping and restaurants, etc

My friend, William T Sherman, went from Chattanooga to Savannah to Charleston. He was stalled in Atlanta for a while. I think it was traffic or something. He said none of those cities have very welcoming people and they closed all the shops and restaurants as soon as he got there.

We were going next week somewhere, but appears only beach towns like destin are feeling normal.

The infos for cities is very conflicting.

We may switch to dallas/fort worth or Arkansas depending how this thread goes.

Ala/Fl is checking license plates. No idea how long the traffic goes.

I left Savannah earlier today after five days there for work. First day it was like a ghost town. Monday was slow as well. Tues thru Thursday nights I sat in restaurants and ate / drank like normal. Some stores are still close but almost all have signs saying they will open tomorrow.

Asheville just instituted a stupid "must wear mask" in public rule. Was at Home Depot today and barely a quarter of the customers had them.

I love Asheville to death, but it’s filled with virtue signaling progs and the mask thing has suddenly become their no 1 virtue signal.

Such a bizarre fricking world.

As of this morning Charleston was still chasing people off for fishing on the beach on SI.

Asheville is cuck central.

I know nothing of chattanooga.

Savannah is at least in a state that told everyone, including Donald, to frick off and opened up somewhat.

What the hell is risky about fishing on a beach. This shite is absurd.

NC Reopening is lagging behind SC by at least 7-10 days. Would not plan on any open restaurants in Asheville at a reasonable capacity anytime soon.

Are you planning beach with the occasional trip to Charleston for meals, or actually the city of Charleston? I wouldn’t go through the trouble for a city trip at this point. Rent a house walking distance to the beach and do takeout. Traffic and parking at any beach from Charleston to Wilmington is apparently a clusterfrick due to all the cooped up people within a two hour drive wanting to go to the beach. Make sure you are on the beach or at least walking distance if you go.

NC went to a modified Phase 2 today at 5 pm. Restaurants are open for inside dining at 50% capacity. Outside dinning is allowed but not sure how that works. We’re to stay in Phase 2 for FIVE weeks.
