I live in Savannah and most stores are open. Majority of local restaurants are still take out are patio dining it seems. Probably more local places doing dine in this weekend. On Tybee I think most are doing fine in though.

I was down in my hometown of Savannah last week as well.

Looked fairly normal to me; a little less crowded on the streets with tourists, but River Street was fairly busy on Saturday.

North Carolina will continue to be the most restrictive of the states in the south.

Savannah was pretty much open this last week.
Some stuff closed, but lower traffic made up for it.

As of this morning Charleston was still chasing people off for fishing on the beach on SI.

The islands had checkpoints on them for awhile. Only rich people who can afford their own boat ramp or afford to live on the islands can enjoy Charleston during a lockdown.

Keep your Louisiana germs out of Chattanooga. We don’t want you.

Chattanooga restaurants are opening. Not overly crowded at lunch. Ate indoors. They took our phone numbers before seating for contact tracing. Probably should have given fake number. Breweries make you drink in the parking lot but all in all a good time.

Cherry Grove (northernmost beach in SC) is insanely busy right now. All of Horry County is, which is about 90 miles north of Charleston.

I don’t know about the rest at of SC but Hilton Head is wide open. Beaches were packed today. All restaurants are open. We are at Sanddollar tonight and even the servers were not wearing masks. One hour wait.

Was this COVID related, or was it just SI being SI?
