Yeah if you watch the second clip ole Charles is still part of the race baiting claiming that "rich white people will always have police".
He's headed in the right direction with some of his commentary but he's still mired in the us versus them narrative of unequal treatment of blacks by the police.
There is nothing untrue about that statement that he made.
Yes there is, he is insinuating that police response and funding sources are somehow lesser for black communities.
I would posit that the exact opposite is true, the majority of police resources are already spent in black communities.

Are these politics ok in sports?
The entire segment shouldn't have happened. Glad he was strong enough to give an dissenting opinion with the political segment moving forward either way.

I miss when Charles talked about the women of San Antonio
quote:
Barkley responded, “I want to apologize to the women of San Antonio. Because Ernie, I had churros last night.” “I see what all the excitement is about! I had churros last night," Barkley said. "Them damn things good, Ernie. Them churros good. I see why they got all them big ol’ women down in San Antonio. Man, them churros are the bomb!”

So she didn't shoot at the cops yet deserved to die for the actions of someone else? You morons are a special kind of stupid.
Not sure anyone has said she deserved to die. All I've seen is people said her life choices put her in a dangerous situation that cost her her life pretty much.

That's not at all what he's insinuating. He's flat out saying that blacks and liberals should stop with the defund and abolish the police nonsense because it's not gonna happen so why continue with a futile narrative. The rich will always make sure there is law enforcement to protect them. That isn't insinuated. He spoke it as truth and that's what it is.

I wish Charles would run for something. He'd be a Trump like figure, not listening to anybodys bullshite.

What would you do if someone broke into your house screaming in the middle of the night?
Let's just say what you're insinuating happened(it didn't). The current boyfriend did exactly what most of us wouldve done and a great majority of the conservative posters here have acknowledged that fact.
Now while continuing to pretend your scenario happened and even acknowledging that the boyfriend was right to shoot, what would you have the police officers being shot at do? Would you have them just stand there and be killed? Don't they also have the right to return fire? Isn't there sometimes collateral damage when 2 parties are having a shootout inside an apartment?
As callous as it sounds that's what Breonna Taylor was, collateral damage of the boyfriend opening fire on police officers(right or wrong) and the police returning fire. It's not criminal or hypocritical to say so. In this case 2 rights made a wrong.

If someone broke into my house I started shooting I would not expect to be killed by a cop. A criminal yes. A cop no. That should never happen.
Do I think this was racism? No.
You ask should they stand there and be killed. Absolutely not. No moron cop or not will stand in the line of fire. However, you could announce it loudly out of the line of fire that you are police. Let him surrender and be done. Your reasoning is flawed.

I don’t watch NBA but NBA On TNT is sneaky one of the best shows on TV. Enjoy this “best of” clip and laugh your arse off.

That's cool of Chuck.
However, I was under the impression that he was co-host of some basketball pre/post game show? Is he not? Have they turned that show into something else?

ITT: a bunch of people who have learned to interpret everyone they see as belonging to a certain team instead of seeing people as individuals with their own thoughts and opinions.
Stop trying to define people as your team or the other. Just stop. No one thinks like that except on the internet.
