Rates go down as you get experience and prove you can not be a dumbass, it’s called privilege not discrimination... fricking millennials and their life’s not fair culture...

Our dummy insurance commissioner, Jim Donelon, allows companies to profile people in this state. It is not allowed in several other states. It leads to much higher insurance rates for many; so the insurance companies in turn spend millions to convince everyone it is the fault of attorneys.

Young people aren’t a protected class. Only old.

Insurance is apparently the only place where you can discriminate due to statistics. Everywhere else you’re an a-hole and getting sued

More to do with it than that. If that were the case, you wouldn't be able to charge women less and the elderly more for life insurance.

Young people crash cars more than older people. "Racial" stuff is accomplished by using credit scores.

NOPE bc they gonna wreck it. But this should be done in all areas. Health care-wanna eat trashy and have million dollar surgeries then pay higher premiums. It won't be long before every insurance company forces you to have something that records everything about your driving.

Good driving record, no accidents, no tickets, good credit score and I have high insurance because they say too many people sue even on smaller crashes. No winning with insurance.

Are you a single guy, or married, and where do you live. Serious question.

No, it is legit as it is based on higher risk.

Private companies can charge whoever they want whatever they want. This isn’t state action...than the constitution could come into play. And they aren’t an employer, which would bring in Title VII.
