I'm sure they have statistics to back it up...you dont pay more because age, you pay more because statistically you are more expensive to insure.

There are too many problems with auto insurance in Louisiana (lack of tort reform, DUI's, cell phones, nuisance law suits, somewhere between 10-15% of drivers uninsured etc). So many problems that everyone pays the price.

It's based solely on statistics. With any insurance policy, the policy holder pays pennies and the carrier pays dollars. All risk is on the carrier so most laws protect the carrier. Do you think an 85yo should have the same life insurance premiums as a 1yo?
