Even the religious church-goers doing "couch church"
"Professionals" wearing jeans and hoodies even though they are back in the office
DEI is an that everyone knows and everyone accepts "equity" is as standard operating procedure

This is just code for, "we promote dumbassesw based on skin color, and ignore performance."
The meritocracy in corporate America, if it ever existed, is dead.

You can’t call sitting with legs crossed Indian Style at school anymore bc that’s racist. They call it criss cross apple sauce.

Along the lines of general apathy:
Folks deciding to do things the easy way instead of doing things how it was done before Covid. Example: meetings online instead of in person.
Also, things that most people dread, but used to still do out of habit are cancelled at the drop of a hat.

GoFundMe for every damn thing.
I still owed that after my insurance paid over $300K.

Bet they're glad I'm off their plan.

Sounds like you’ll be off everyone’s plan pretty soon, Gramps. Enjoy.

No more grilled chicken sandwich at McDonald's. Fattys everywhere revel in victory.

If you order something on their app, you have to wait in the drive-thru with the dumbarses who can't figure out how to download it. I found out about this the hard way. They said they can't hire enough people to open the dining room. Meanwhile Canes, and every other place can get enough people. I won't go back until they let me get my bad salad before the guy who ordered 10 minutes after me.
Walmart has milked the closing at 10 pm thing long enough. Go back to 24/7.

You can add the way they dress to this. Many people seemed to have given up completely on even remotely trying to dress as if they have any self respect. It’s pathetic.
shite, you can wear a clean, properly fitting pair of sweatpants/joggers and a sweatshirt and look significantly more put together than most people these days

I put on a pair of jeans on the weekend and feel over dressed most of the time

People posting their holiday party pictures on Facebook with everyone wearing jeans, raggedly old sneakers, and t shirts makes me sad
Have some self respect!

This is probably the more obvious and might have been mentioned already, but there are two.
- There are a lot more people who are working from home or at least they are not having to go into the office every day.
But what surprises me is that it took a pandemic for this to happen especially considering how many jobs there are in which people could easily do from home.
To some degree I think a lot of places had the "its how we always did it" mentality and just refused to let their employees work from home, but then when the pandemic came places started to think "hmmm. maybe this can work. We can save money by not needing so much office space. We can save on utilities and even office supplies".
- Virtual dr appointments. I have to go to the dr every 3 months for a checkup. The appointment doesn't last more than 10 mins yet it could take up to 1.5 hrs spent on the appointment. Between the time to get there, then having to wait in the waiting room for a little while and when you are called in the back and they put you in a room you never know how long you have to wait. Before you know it, you have been there for 40 mins already, etc.. But since the pandemic I think I have had to go in twice.
Now I only have to go in twice a year and the other two times can be done virtual. And then there was a time when I was scheduled to go in and they sent me a message saying it could be done virtual. So you are not wasting time. You log in, fill out all the same questions they ask every time you go, the doctor calls in. 15 minutes and you are done.

The percentage of adolescents who claim to be trans or the opposite of their birth gender has skyrocketed because it’s a fad.

It seems like even for professionals reporting into the office jeans have become the norm.
Other random observation: the overusage of the f-bomb on streaming service shows. Just finished The Stand on Paramount+ and at least two or three every episode. Probably five or six in the first episode of Yellowstone I just watched. I use that word too on occasion but it is becoming way too common.
