Champion Medical Center, the north Baton Rouge specialty surgical hospital, is shuttering its Howell Place operation after less than four years in business.

quote:

Some north Baton Rouge leaders pushed hard last year to land a new emergency room at Champion Medical Center, but the state ultimately decided to partner with Our Lady of the Lake instead. OLOL broke ground on the north Baton Rouge emergency room in January.

It will definitely be interesting considering he was possibly paid to lobby for Champion. He even went so far as to call JBE a racist for choosing OLOL over Champion.

They could have avoided that by not getting in bed with noted criminals and sh!tlords. It's not exactly a secret in the medical community

Banks: Champion had ‘a target on their back’ in Baton Rouge market

quote:

Metro Councilwoman Chauna Banks, who advocated for the Champion deal, says in an email the hospital had a difficult time in the market here after other hospitals “turned their backs” on north Baton Rouge.

quote:

“I have one regret, and that is Champion (trying) to help our north Baton Rouge community put a target on their back and may have led to its decision to close,” Banks says, adding she doesn’t think there will be a significant impact on the region’s health or economic landscape.

She's also on the payroll.

No, Chauna Khan, the reason that Champion closed is because the stakeholders in their parent company are prepping their bungholes for their new orange wardrobes.

The same parish council that authorized the COA election wanted to partner with these people to build a new ER in NBR.

Think about that.

To Kip's credit, he stopped it.

If their competitors turned their backs on their market, how did they fail?

Oh wait...it's because North Baton Rouge can't support a Starbucks, much less an entire hospital.

Wow, did you see how fat Gravys fingers are? It's like he has 5 large Sausages for fingers.

I'm feeling sorry for that auto correct function, and his backspace keys.
