It's frankly amazing how Texas, Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas have been able to pull their bleep together and us and Mississippi still lag behind.
As for Idaho, 1/4 of its population is Mormon. They create a lot of children.

That’s because JBE has done nothing to stimulate job growth. He’s greatest accomplishment was raising taxes.

Lol JBE has only been governor for two years. The flight out of Louisiana has been going on a lot longer than that.

I love Louisiana, the culture, the food etc. However I had to leave to better myself and be in a growing economy. My kids have more opportunities as well.
The Economy is the number one factor, followed by weather. AZ gets all the old farts that cant live in the cold anymore up north, just like Florida to the East. Almost everyone you meet in AZ is from somewhere else, while almost everyone from in my hometown was born and raised there. I miss the food, LSU football, and family. IN THAT ORDER.

Why is Indiana growing so much faster than the rest of the midwest?
Maybe because Indiana doesn't have Chicago, Detroit or Cleveland?

Mike Pence is the reason. Honda and Subaru manufacturing plants...Indianapolis is booming with Fortune 500 companies...great public school systems with great state university system. I would imagine majority of Illinois is moving next door to Indiana.

At this point in the history of the earth, human population growth is not a good thing. Resources are being depleted far faster than they're being replenished.

Four of those five states have major cities. Mississippi doesn't.

I am shocked to see growth for Kentucky...and I am glad. I know there is a bunch of transplants from other states in Lexington. I know a ton of kids come to UK out of state due to tuition is cheaper then where they are from...end up staying after graduation because quality of life is great in Lexington.

The population of Indiana is growing along the Southshore train station. This runs along Lake Michigan to/from Chicago. It’s mainly people who work in Chicago who don’t want to live in Illinois. Commute is about an hour for many living on Lakefront homes

There could be only 1000 people in LA and there would still be BR eastbound traffic.
