Did you actually click on the link in the tweet?

I don’t think anyone clocked any of the links they don’t match the blue highlights.

Did ivermectin help India and Japan combat the Covid or not? Shouldn’t we be glad that there is something else that works.

Japanese cases are going through the roof. If they've been using ivermectin since February, Japan would count against ivermectin.

Link? The data is indicating more often than not that Ivermectin as a Prophylactic and early treatment protocol is quite effective.

Link to a clinical trial? Seriously.

Some of our internists are giving ivermectin if a pt asks because in their mind it cant hurt Anecdotal but they think roughly an equal amount of ivermectin vs non ivermectin treated patients are progressing to hospitalization

Anecdotal will be the new buzz word from medical “professionals” for a little while I believe. Per that CDC warning, Ivermectin prescriptions per day increased from 3,600 pre covid to 39,000 post covid. That is a lot of doctors prescribing ivermectin. And no, the patients went to the pharmacy to pick it up, not tractor supply.

Cosmo, LSUnurse, Stidham, the other 1,000 doctors or nurses here, what has the standard covid treatment been at your facility? Lots of antibiotics and vitamins and a little dose of steroids, nebulizer, remdesivir, then a vent if they did not respond to any of that? Just curious.

I mean, after a while when something isn’t working, don’t you think you might take a flyer and try something different, especially if that something different has no risk to make it worse but might make it better? Why is there so much damn resistance to that idea? Other than money?

You ever notice how the anti-vax crowd never has any peer reviewed literature to back up their claims?

Peer reviewed isn’t infallible from personal or professional bias.

I want clinical studies. I want scientific trials with hard data and double blind controls. We simply don’t have that yet on ivermectin or HCQ, they are being prohibited for some reason.

India was way worse. Suddenly, mysteriously they have been upgraded to endemic

I am not sure how you are using the term - endemic. This is a pandemic by definition.
Columbia University School of Public Health - definitions

Endemic accepts a reality that there will always be a need to treat and prevent COVID-19 because it will always be present. That's not an upgrade in the traditional sense of that word. It's giving up the fight.
___________

We need to work on a syringeless vaccine delivery system. How about an iced sugar cube delivery system for those with a sweet tooth or for those who have a fear of needles. Or both.

Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe they reached herd immunity naturally given the high population density

Interesting. Isn’t this what people wanted 18 months ago?

Precisely how I was given the polio vaccine in the 70s, and I want to say at least 1 or 2 more.

Today WHO dropped the entire nation to endemic status.

But a very small nation with a healthy, well nourished populace living in unconfined quarters.

It’s kind of ironic that the people calling everyone sheep are taking animal medication.

It’s even more ironic that people willingly trust a new vaccine developed and “approved” in less than one year over a medicine that’s been around for over 30 years, on the WHOs list of necessary medications, and has over 4 BILLION successful human doses administered.
Enjoy your “approved” vaccine.

Oh and keep ignoring all the other countries that
Are Realizing it’s benefits as you get your biannual boosters.

I do believe people wanted that. The powers that be did not. It has gone from two weeks to flatten the curve, to booster shots for life. There are tens if not hundreds of billions to be made here.

I’ll bet their standard treatment is “go home with this zpak and come back when your lips are blue and you’re hypoxic”. Great job Brownie! You didn’t do dick till the only option was a ventilator and now you’re mad.

Ivermectin is being studied in a few legit clinical studies, as best I can tell.

Lol thats not how it works

My MDs exact words were, "I will add a note to your file as to this being informed consent." I said Thank You, hung up, and drove to Walgreens, where they filled it that day.

He obviously wasn't a fan.

Devils advocate, could this be because of the nature of the delta variant and the Fact that India has essentially congested living everywhere? With the speed of spread of delta and the acknowledged rapid rise and fall of cases, could this be chalked up to “India being India?”

So herd immunity then? In a month. I'll allow it.

What's the science behind the benefits of ivermectin

Nutshell, it blocks importation of the virus into the cell and reduces viral load.
