CBS/NBC Edit Out ‘Stop Resisting’ from George Floyd Arrest video, CBS cuts out before

It's infuriating that we can only reliably get this from either social media or the British news agencies.
All the major broadcast networks worked to obscure the fact that Floyd was resisting arrest and was warned to stop resisting before releasing the videos this week.
Look around at all of the insanity taking place. Almost all of it is driven by media disinformation and dishonesty.

In the video Daily Mail posted on YouTube, Officer Thomas Lane had Floyd out of his vehicle and was trying to get him into handcuffs. At the 2:13-mark, Lane can be heard telling Floyd to “stop resisting,” to which Floyd said: “I’m not.” “Yes, you are,” Lane replied.
That exchange was edited out by both the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News. Instead, they chose to mislead. The included video below shows how both networks used the leaked video for selectively edited soundbites.
The media have seen these videos before when officials allowed the media to watch them, but not broadcast them. But CBS anchor Norah O’Donnell hid that fact from viewers. Telling them, “Tonight, we're getting the first look at body cam video from two of the Minneapolis police officers who were on the scene the night George Floyd died in custody.”
At the top of the report, CBS chief Justice correspondent Jeff Pegues used a clip from the leaked footage showing Lane’s initial contact with Floyd. But it cut off before Lane could be heard saying “stop resisting.”

Stop getting infuriated. Just stop watching.

Yes, because if a cop says he's resisting, he definitely was resisting.

Why edit it out? Why not just report the facts?

Make sure you keep constant pressure in your bubble cause you are in for one hell of a awakening when it pops.
You could mute the sound for the entire video and it changes not one thing.

Very interesting indeed. There are media outlets all over this country who edited this video for their own political agenda. They knowingly misled the public. Now thousands have lost their business and millions have been lost to rioting and looting.
NBC and cbs And others need to be held to account
Floyd was clever to continually express that he was not resisting but he clearly was. Had he just gotten into the cop car without resisting, he would be alive today.
Lesson here: just do what the cops tell you.

I can mute my own TV. Why does the media need to obscure the facts like this?

Likewise, if a felon says he is not, he is definitely not.

I don't know. It wasn't edited out in the clip I saw on the news last night. I think I was watching ABC nightly news. May have been CBS.

American media has demonstrated that they aren't concerned with honestly or accuracy. It's an election year and they have an agenda.

Because then, it wouldn't be lying.

So CBS/NBC didn't play the video in its entirety? A 30 minute broadcast, minus ad time, and they were just supposed to play the whole thing? The Daily Mail, besides being a bullshite right wing rag with less journalistic integrity than The National Enquirer, is online pub who aren't restricted by time restrictions. Of course they can link to to the entire video on their garbage website. How is the CBS Evening News supposed to do that?
Beyond all that, who the frick cares that the cop said "stop resisting"? What difference does it make? We got one guy dead and the cop is in jail on murder charges. Unless your point was just to whine like a lil' bitch about a newscast, your post and the article are 100% pointless.

Well, he's dead, so he's not that clever.

It’s like they want the country to burn. What good does releasing this video do?

Quit your whining. It's really sad.
If they don't have time to air the whole video, using your logic, couldn't they direct viewers to their website to watch the whoooooole video?

He was black and the cop was white so you are correct nothing else makes a difference.

Here's a link to the CBS News report during last night's broadcast. It doesn't show the "stop resisting" but the correspondent does say in one part that it shows Floyd resisting their efforts to place him in the back of the squad car.

This is why the media pisses me off so much. They’re absolute assholes. You don’t need to edit that shite out. Chauvin didn’t have to hold him down with his knee on his neck. It’s still wrong. All this does for the media is make themselves look like assholes. They’re doing everything they can to divide the nation and help continue the fighting so they’ll have a story and viewers.

Boy the media has a bunch of you right where they want you, carrying their water.
You show the video in it's entirety or you don't show it at all. It's too important at this time to "edit for time". It's irresponsible of the media and quite intentional.
