On Monday, the CBD industry formally began a relationship with its new regulator. The Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control started taking applications for temporary permits. Once awarded, starting likely next week, the permits will allow retailers to immediately begin selling the products.

Earlier this year, before the new laws passed, the alcohol and tobacco office started cracking down on the sale of CBD products. Although the federal farm bill allowed for the legal growth of hemp, the ATC said Louisiana law at the time made no distinction between hemp and marijuana. That meant the CBD products sold in vape stores, liquor stores and other places overseen by ATC were no longer allowed.

Good to see the state take an interest in this and finally crack down. It was far to easy for KIDS to get high off this stuff

Look at his recent threads...if he's not trolling, he's REALLY stupid...of course, either of those are possible.

they were just discussing this at one of the meeting at the Board the other day... it was pretty interesting to say the least, but they aren't bringing it before the full Board until the next meeting in August...

I'd like to trust this get's regulated and we have a better understanding of what we are buying.

I have neck problems and would love to see if this helps but up to this point don't trust what I would be buying.

This high-grade (no pun intended) marijuana needs to be off the streets. I’ve seen a bunch of stories of people overdosing in these dap pens.

The fact that something that doesn’t get you buzzed up was outlawed in the first place is very Louisiana.

Where’s your source? I have never heard of anything even remotely close to this.

While we’re at it we should ban all hard liquor

I am following the logic of the poster who said we should get “high grade” marijuana off the street bc people are OD’ing on dab pens, which is one of the dumbest things I have heard in 2019...try and keep up guy

What's the point of people buying it then?

People running down to the 7-11 get some CBD gummies and 40 of O'Doules? I don't think so G.
