I've been hearing a lot about kratum lately and how it helps with pain management as well as a ton of other things.
Might be something worth looking into. I know one a couple of people that swear by it.

Is it legal to purchase in LA?
She said it was. I have no idea.

I tried it for my disc issues, but it did nothing for me. Where can I get Kratom?

Yeah, I get it from a health food store down the street

I have both MS and residual effects of chemo from cancer I had a few years back. I use CBD sublingual drops (3:1 Ratio) so I can sleep at night and reduce pain. To be completely honest, I would say, that for me, it reduces pain, inflammation and assists me to sleep about 70% of the time. 30% of the time it provides no relief.
The brand I use is called "Leaf", it is from a local company based here in Sonoma County, California. I go to the dispensary in Santa Rosa to pick it up. It is pricey. About $70 per ounce.

I’m going through a similar situation. My folks turn 70 in the next 30 days. My mom has lung cancer. She is doing chemo and radiation. God willing she beats it. My dad on the other hand is.m over weight and has back and hip problems. It’s really affected his life. He doesn’t want to do anything. He uses a four prong cane. He sleeps a lot. Doesn’t want to do physical therapy. At the same time. It’s depressing him he can’t do all the things he used to do. He’s checked out. I don’t think he cares about living.
Now this is a guy that would bust me and my brother for weed and act like it was completely the end of the world. I stopped smoking habitually about 4 years ago. He told me the other day he might want to explore bud for pain relief. I’m torn. I can’t insgine my dad stoned for one. Number two I want the man to fix his problem at the source. I don’t care if he smokes for pain relief, but if he needs a new hip he needs to do it right and go to therapy after.
I just don’t want him to fall into this cycle of getting high all the time. The guy eats ibuprofen like it’s candy, because the doctor won’t prescribe him anything.
Maybe someone with similar back/hip problems can reccomend a positive course of action here to actually fix the problem. I know guys older than him that get around much better. I want him to be able to do things again.

They sell it at gas stations, you be the judge.
"They sell it at gas stations, so it must be good". Thats dumb. There is no regulation on CBD oil, so you have no way of judging what you buy. CBD oil is snake oil. It works, but only if you believe it works. Just because it derives from marijuana, it doesn't contain THC (or very little). THC has medicinal uses, but CBD oil is all hype.

That's literally the opposite of what he was saying.

Then I tried kratom and have been taking it for 10 months with great relief.
Where do you get yours? They sell it all over, even at gas stations. There’s also many different kinds. What did you find that works best for you?

It can reduce inflammation which may help with some pain but it is not really a pain reliever. It's good for anxiety and stress.
Without doing the slightest research I'm going to claim that a sizeable share of chronic pain sufferers have inflammation issues even if that's not the root of their problem.

Only smart people can handle illicit drugs

Yeah, but I've read it can have bad side effects, so I haven't tried to suggest that for him. Thought I could get him to try CBD first. Haven't seen anywhere that it has negative side effects or much drug interactions.

They sell it at a shop here in Walker off Florida blvd
That's not too far from me. It must be new huh? I had searched on Google not long ago and closest place I had found was in Baton Rouge.

THC - works 100%
CBD - like taking asprin, mostly a placebo but can help a little

What are the side effects? I don't take it, but like I said, I know people that swear by it.
I know people that were taking 10-15 hydrocodon pills a day that say kratum does the job and for a fraction of the price. Others take it instead of Adderall.
