I shouldn’t have watched this video being at the beach. Now I’m on edge in the water. Was just in the ocean and look to my left and suddenly see a huge shadowey figure moving towards me and I kinda freaked. It was a manatee lol.

I am always amazed when people (especially in 3rd world countries) are able to catch some random shark that attacked a person days earlier.

One of the dumbest games of telephone is how we got "sharks don't like the taste of humans"

Yes, sharks have been known to "spit out" humans after mistaking them for other animals they want to eat. This is because we're (some more than others...) not as blubbery or have the "texture" they are looking for or expecting. But just like us, they'll lower their standards if they're hungry enough.

Except for the fact the boat was playing insanely loud club like music and it was night time and dark af.

Obviously completely same scenario though.

In a 6 month time frame I had a Bull shark encounter and got caught in a rip tide in Gulf Breeze Fl. I have not been wade fishing since.

Me and a buddy got up before sunrise and waded out to the Sanbar to try and get some topwater Trout action. We got skunked on the Trout but after the sun came up massive schools of Bluefish and Spainish started coming through. We were hooking up on every cast and sent several back in the water bleeding. A few mins later we both hooked up with Blues and all of a sudden I see a dark shape swimming towards the bar and us. At first I thought/hoped it was Flipper, but the next thing I know both of our fish start hauling arse to our left and the 7'-8' Bullshark came out of the water chasing our fish. Next thing I know is it feels like one of my arms is being ripped off. I told my buddy to open the bail on his reel and let the fish swim off as we hauled arse backwards to the beach. Once on shore I grabbed my shoulder and asked my buddy wtf was he doing to my arm. He said he was trying to keep me between him and the shark thinking if it got me first it would be too full to attack him

Supposedly the shark did not consume him but toyed around with the corpse for several hours. So if it's true, maybe that helped them locate the shark. Also, the remains were supposedly found.

A lot of those cases are "Any old shark will do". Sometimes they can cut it open and find remains, but usually after a few random sharks are whacked the public will feel like they got the culprit and settle down.

True, water was crystal clear at noon on the sunniest day on record. If there was a shark around the kid everyone would have seen it.

They really caught the shark and killed it? Lol wtf he was just being a shark, not it’s fault.

Humans killing animals that have shown a propensity to kill humans is also a pretty human thing to do.

Sharks gonna shark, humans gonna human. Nothing out of the ordinary happened here.

You're right, people a thousand miles away watching a grainy, blurry, zoomed in, and slow motion bigfoot-quality video have a better grasp of what happened than the dozens of eye witnesses.
