Catahoula Parish under a parish-wide curfew effective Tuesday, March 17. According to a Facebook post from the Catahoula Parish Sheriff's Office, they will have a curfew between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. until further notice. CPSO and Jonesville Police Department will be enforcing the curfew policy. They are allowing exceptions for people driving to and from work. In addition, CPSO said this will not hurt businesses and anyone in particular and that this is an "effort in this situation that we are currently facing."

If you're closing everything to gatherings, what is the point of a curfew?

Guess they worried about outbreaks hitting their big cities of Jonesville, Harrisonburg, and Sicily Island.

I wasn't intending to shite on it. I come from a long line of country folk. I had no clue where it was though.

This sounds more like a security reason.

With everything entertainment-related shut down, police now get to question a group of people walking around a neighborhood at 2 am.

That was announced at 11am this morning. The News Booster released it on fb or something like that. Not much in Catahoula Parish, but it’s where I’m from originally. I figure all parishes will be under a similar order before long.

A curfew for a few days for a hurricane is one thing but people if goes longer than a week people will just ignore it.
