Maybe you should become a responsible pet owner and not leave your cat home alone for a week.

Cats are one of the few pets that you can reasonably do this with.

Cats are nasty. I'm weary of "cat people." That's a stereotype that pans out.

So I return home today after being at Disney for a week and find that my daughters cat has pissed all over the furniture. Im looking for serious responses in reference to what can be done (if anything) to salvage said furniture.

You left for a week and didn't have anyone go to the house and take care of the cat?

Drop cat off at local chinese restaurant. GF has two, and they a nice and lazy when you are around, but as soon as you turn out the lights the go on a rampage. Woke up to one sitting on my chest. Things are meant to be outside animals. Frick them

Best bet is the commercial grade spray can for cat urine they sell at the vet. Some pet stores carry products that work pretty well. Also try working with something like a bissel wet/dry/steam clean vacuum if your furniture will tolerate it. If you have to go buy one, bed bath and beyond always has an online coupon.

Don't ask how I know about all this.

Cook the cat and serve it for dinner. Got some good recipes from my time in China.

Sorry bro. I had this exact same thing happen to me when I first got my cat and 10 years later people can sit on my couch and get a sniff "off something funky".

I've done everything but burn that couch.

For some reason hating cats get you a lot of down votes here. Didn't realize the OT was full of cat-ladies and beta cat-men.

There is spray that removes cat odors from furniture. I don't have access to it right now, but such a thing exists.

Source: We have a 17-year-old cat with occasional urinary issues.
