So I return home today after being at Disney for a week and find that my daughters cat has pissed all over the furniture. Im looking for serious responses in reference to what can be done (if anything) to salvage said furniture.

I realize I am going to get lambasted here which is fine. I may need a laugh. But I am looking for any advice.

Have at it.

Toss it. Nothing worse than cat piss.

Also, I would probably dispose of the cat.

LOL! I was thinking along those same lines, just hadn't decided how to word it yet.

I'm assuming you no longer have a cat problem.

Burn the furniture.

You have to put [SERIOUS] in your thread title to make this a "serious response-only thread."

All of the furniture is probably made of stainless steel, so, just wash it with warm water and soap and it will be fine.

If your furniture is not made of stainless steel then you're fricked. Time to shop for an entire house full of new furniture. Tip: stay away from the cheapo furniture made in Vietnam.

Ask professional cleaners?

OP:

Go back to Disney. Bring the cat to the lagoon and feed it to the alligators.

We had this happen once. Had a couch temporarily in our garage and some fricking neighborhood cat got stuck in there with it on accident for several days. Damn thing pissed all over it.

What kind of couch? Ours was a cloth type material. It took a great deal of cleaning and airing out but eventually the damned thing was fine. Cleaning was basically using a steam machine and some heavy duty spray on shite.

Oh the cat wasn't fine.

I hope you made it quick and painless. I don't like the thought of a dumb animal suffering needlessly.

Advertise it on Craigslist in Cleveland. There's going to be a lot of demand for furniture there tomorrow night.

Cats piss on stuff when their litter boxes are not clean, have health issues, stressed or just behavior issues. Probably didn't clean it for that entire week and he had to go elsewhere...

Maybe you should become a responsible pet owner and not leave your cat home alone for a week.
