Everyone in line that just wants to buy something has to wait for customers to fill out their information. Have a separate booth with the sales person to do this.

I agree. Every time i get asked for my email address or phone number when buying something I just say "no" with no explanation. Why do you need my email address and phone # after I get a hair cut? frick off.

The Tom Thumb cashiers will damn near have a heart attack if you dont have one of their card

They gave me one one day, went back the next day and didnt bring it and the lady was like "You dont have one?" i said no " ARE YOU SURE YOU DONT HAVE ONE" and i said no, and she said "I THOUGHT I JUST GAVE YOU ONE BUT HERES ANOTHER" and then the next week i forgot them again and i thought she was going to have a heart attack

The real bs is they'll give you a line about how your total could be cut by 25% or so if you sign up for a "rewards card" when the word they're actually looking for is credit card. shite should be illegal.

Just bought really cheap computer for an emergency at Best Buy. I was asked if I wanted a warranty then I was asked if I wanted to give money to Saint Jude’s then I was asked if I could join their points program and then I was asked if I wanted my receipt via email or paper?

From a structural point of you you can’t make a cost center (cashiers) a profit center (sales). Have a booth With a very friendly older lady that people will feel sorry for

If you don't have a problem with retailers wanting your personal information, you are an idiot. Just say no. You don't have to be tough. Just say no. You have nothing to gain by giving them your info, but they will use your info to try and make more money off of you, otherwise they would not invest the money and time into asking you for that info.

I use
Area code of city I am in

+

Most used fake number in the world. No matter where you are it will work. You get the discount and don't have to sign up for anything.

The idiot is you, nowhere in my statement did I say I didn't have a problem.

But acting the a-hole to some poor schlub who is just doing the job they are paid to do is idiotic at best.

"Oh look at me I'm the tough guy, I refused to even be polite to the low level employee who asked me a question" LOL

Saying "no" is being an a-hole? News to me.

The biggest annoyance to me is them doing this when there is a line of 10 people waiting.
