Plenty of weddings are wine and beer with a cash bar for mixed drinks.

I have seen this a lot as well, also with "signature" cocktails free also. I see it mostly at a venue with a full well-stocked bar. My crew when I was young would NEVER order anything but well on their own dime but open the bar up to them and they would order 21 yo Macallan, not because they liked it or even knew what it tasted like but because they could. Slug it back in one hit and ask for another.

To each their own. I didn't have any type of bar at my wedding. We provided champagne for the toasts. But that was it. My whole thing was I did not want to pay for folks to get drunk. Call me cheap, idgaf. I communicated with family & friends whom I know are heavy drinkers ahead of time. They brought their own beer/liquor. Everyone had a good time, and no one complained.

frick breaking the bank at your wedding just to pleasw other people. Live within your means.

I've been to open bars, cash bars, closed bars, i always bring my own ice chest, and put forth the effort to have a good time, if you enjoy being with the people that you're with that's what matters.

Sorry you can’t find a bride or a date for that matter. These ladies on here aren’t going to date you no matter how much you hard leg them on this board.

You sure do like following me around. Your going to beat me up?

What a douchebag. I hear you are quite the golf cheat.

What’s a ....man...like you doing in a wedding thread? This isn’t about rainbows.

I'm not a fan of a cash bar at a wedding reception. It cuts into my budget for the money dance.

Martini, why such a foul and odious attitude tonight? Did your children not wish you a happy mother’s day?

Keep it up, scum.

You’re proving my point. Just a pathetic individual, all around.

I feel sorry for anyone who has to interact with you personally.

He probably doesn’t have the wherewithal to realize the true nature of his inanity. At his advanced age and geriatric state, simple daily activities can be onerous and confusing.

Indubitably. It’s completely woebegone at this point.

I went to a Christian wedding once and the bar was cash because neither the bride nor groom drank. Did. Not. Want.

Just buy the psyllium husk. It’s better for you, and don’t have to ingest all the other stuff they toss in the mix.
