It seems like the cartel is destroying the city in retaliation to their leader being killed.

Between taking out Cartel leaders and shite going on in Iran, don’t be surprised if shite starts popping off state-side.

Keep it on you

This is the cost of doing business for everyone involved.

I voted for this.

Good job.

Just invade that shithole and take them all out. Both countries would be better for it

Not to mention so would the entire Caribbean

NEW: Mexico’s Defense Minister says Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes (“El Mencho”) died while being transferred to Mexico City (CDMX)

If that's true, I wonder if the cartel made a move on the transport vehicle(s) moving him and he was killed in that conflict?

Classic OT response but we were heading to Tulum next weekend to visit some friends who moved down there.

Yea we'll see

I was looking forward to it. We went to Playa in September but haven't been to Tulum since before Covid.

A colleague of mine from SF just retired to Guadalajara back in December because he was scared that “Donald Trump was about to roll tanks through the streets of SF” or some such nonsense.

I made the joke to my wife that, “if you’re worried about violence in the streets, Mexico is logical place to move.”

Welp, here we are.
