So CJNG threw a hissy fit for one day b/c their baw got unalived? All they did was cast a new light on them for extermination.

Authorities have declared a “Code Red” mobilization as at least fifteen cities report cartel-linked unrest, a figure expected to rise as developments continue.
Will this expand into the USA?

This will be over by this week once El Yogurt is put in charge.

Are you really that naive to the absolute size and force of the US military? They have equipment to dismantle them with ease
That's what we thought in Vietnam too. Urban and Jungle warfare isn't the same.

I am here now and the Costco was never on fire. There were a couple of cars in the parking lot set on fire, not CostCo. You are able to walk around freely but nothing is open. Hotels are still suggesting staying on property. Our flight was canceled for today and the earliest return flights right now are Saturday. Hopefully that changes...
Do you have access to enough food and alcohol? Those would be my main concerns.
I have not been to Puerto Vallarta for a while, but I've been 5 times. I have even rented a car and driven there. Most of the time I stayed in Punta Mita, but I had no problem venturing into town.
Sad to hear that things have degenerated there.

We've been down that route. There was a time when the Mafia controlled a few major US cities.

Still sounds better than being in Disney World.

Exactly.
The best approach would be to act like they weren't affected at all, or just continue to assassinate specific people who get in their way.
I imagine that most cartel members, especially those in leadership positions, expect that they will eventually experience an untimely demise.
This hissy fit is going to cost them some of whatever popular support they may have had with working class Mexicans.

We aren’t going. I’m looking for tactics to ensure hotel doesn’t keep my money in this situation
If this is a one time destination for you, fine.
But if you vacation there year after year, you might want to contact them, express your sorrow at what's happening and tell them to apply that money to helping them and their workers and you look forward to visiting them in the future.
It's hard to apply the Golden Rule in situations like this, but imagine being there because it's your home.
