This is a modern day concentration camp lite. Glad the cartel is now considered a terror organization so it opens up options.

This has always been one of my favorite progressive talking points when they acknowledge the news is biased for their political allies.

"Well this isn't a national story, it should only be covered locally anyway".

It wasn't a political pt. Was just highlighting that is a very familiar story abt a daily issue in another country.

I'd love to see it. The US Military would absolutely obliterate the Cartels

Literally Hitler

Not really. Hitler was conducting experiments on humans and was trying to exterminate a whole race of people.

These guys are simply killing and cooking anyone who doesn't follow their rules.

Oven and pile of shoes. There were 80+ Christians killed and this article says 200+ killed.
Both of our statements can be true, but whatever bud.

Equating this to a "war on drugs" is a bit simplistic. These are terrorists funding their operation with drugs.

That’s not accurate. The ultimate goal of cartels is to make money.

I meant the massacre in Syria, 7k Alawites and Christians since Friday. Compared to a low volume cartel op that may have been operating for months. Pretty inefficient op, in comparison, it seems.

The ultimate goal of many terrorist organizations is money and power. Much of their idealism is just fodder for the masses.

Once you start controlling heads of state, amassing an army with modern weapons and intelligence functionaries and constructing death camps, then you have passed the "drug dealer" stage.

Help me understand why you think the discovery of a literal extermination camp, complete with crematorium and piles of discarded shoes and other personal items indicating murders in at least the hundreds, possibly more, have been carried out, is a local story.

Lay that out for me.

Wouldn't that make the individuals who purchase their drugs complicit? If so, should we label these people as terrorists?

I'm going to take a guess that our govt arranged for this discovery as a way of generating ill will against the cartels on behalf of the people. Sowing discord. I hope our govt did this. Make the cartels the hunted in their own country.

That's why they go to Africa. It's a free fire zone there with the various terror groups roaming around.

I wasn't trying to convey that it is a local story, but rather a familiar story that unfortunately doesn't move the needle. My analogy fell short.

In the article, it states that the compound has already been raided twice. This isn't new information.
