The GX being rated that high with the number of women drivers is pretty elite territory.

I don't want to drive the same car 250k miles. Reliability is nice but I prefer to spend my short time on this earth doing something more enjoyable than staring at asphalt all day or driving an old beater on my rounds.

have a 2008 Silverado 1500 with 255K miles and still going strong.
I had a 2008 that endured 230k of me in college and early adulthood. Put it through hell and never let me down

The highest mileage gas vehicle I’ve seen was a Chevy Suburban. IIRC, it had the 5.3L V8, a completely trashed interior, and nearly 500,000 miles.
Those non-variable cylander 5.3L tahoes, suburban and trucks from about 2002-2006 are some of the most durable automobiles on the road, and likely the best truck GM ever built.
Transmission will go out at 180-200K though. Guaranteed.

My current tundra is over 250k I’m hopeful I get double that.
Last tundra had more than that when I traded it.

American and Japanese cars make up the entire top 30 list. Nowhere in the top 30 list will you find a Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, VW, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, or Volvo.
Because people that can afford the those luxury brands rarely drive them past 100k, let alone to 250k. They trade in frequently or just lease. Guarantee you a properly cared for BMW, Mercedes, or Audi would make it that far.

The new GX is probably my favorite new vehicle. Don’t like the engine though.
The Sierra 3.0 Diesel is up there too.

I am not buying the GM vehicles on the list. I had a suburban and a yukon xl that both needed transmissions before 80,000 miles, and that seems to be extremely common.

I had a 2001 Buick Century that hit 300k. No problems except the window motors would oddly go out every so often.

I've had the following high mileage vehicles over the years:
1996 4Runner 180k miles that I beat the shite out of with a supercharger and lots of hard driving (I was a teen, sue me
)
2001 Chevy Suburban, I had it up to 165k miles, gave it to my brother who drove it over 200k
2013 Prius 180k miles that basically drove like new when I got rid of it
2015 Ford Edge Sport 199k miles and counting that I commute with

I can't decide if I like the new ones yet.
Mine is a 2019 3rd gen. I am not a fan of the new ones at all. It’s lost the Tacoma shape and look imo. Tundra did too but I like the new tundra design.

I’m at 140k with my 2016 Tundra. Every time I start looking at new trucks I see something like this list and realize it’d be dumb to get rid of the tundra.

2013 Tundra driver here. I also use a work truck, so I’m not using my Tundra everyday. I currently have about 155k miles on it and it drives like a beast. I’ll drive it til the wheels fall off. But I also had a 98 F150 that lasted me from my senior year in 99 until about 2021…I drove it until the motor blew.

We have a 4Runner TRD OR model and a GMC Yukon. Both are four wheel drive, both used for towing and light off roading. The Yukon is our family road trip vehicle. The 4Runner is my favorite between the two since it’s completely unsophisticated and old school.
Both the Yukon and the 4Runner have been absolutely bulletproof. I got an extended powertrain warranty with the Yukon because it was a pandemic build, but it’s actually been flawless. I love how well it rides and it pulls our trailer like it’s not even there, which is something the 4Runner can’t easily do.
The 4Runner may last long enough for my 4 year old to drive it to high school. I will never sell it. I may get another Suburban or Yukon but I am keeping this 4Runner until it rusts out or gets wrecked or stolen.

Love my Tacoma. 150K and not a problem at all.

I have 207k on a Tacoma. Had never had a break down ever. Only CEL was for a bad O2 sensor.

Trucks are more likely to reach 250,000 miles according to this list
It's because women typically don't drive trucks

My 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 (yes, back then Dodge and Ram were both in the name) 24 valve Cummins Diesel is at 290K and still chugging along.
I saw in the OP's article that the heavy duty truck are in a separate list further down because if they were mixed with the general list they'd dominate it. Very good numbers for the 2500 diesel. Even moreso for the 3500.

I've owned 5 vehicles in my time driving. 3 of them have made or exceeded 250k miles. 2007 Jeep Wrangler (4door minivan engine), 2010 Ford F250 gas (5.4L), and 2016 Toyota Tundra (5.7L). Vehicles that didn't make it. 1998 GMC single cab V8 (engine failure), 2003 Chevy Silverado (threw a rod).
