Did it years ago and it took a bit but immediate relief from the shaking & numbness. Definitely hurt during recovery so take your pain meds. I used Dr. Reznik out of Lewisville, TX and the scar is completely unnoticable. I have seen others who's scars look like a biker patched them up.

Seriously most difficult part of the process? Learning to wipe your rear with your non-dominant hand. Start practicing now.

Don't do both hands at the same time, unless you have someone that is willing to wipe your arse.

BTDT, but thereafter I knew it was true love.

I had it a few years ago and was able to use my hand immediately. No downtime at all.

Carpal Tunnel often times get's misdiagnosed. If you get Carpal Tunnel surgery and it happens to be Pronator Teres Syndrome, the surgery will not help. Here's a graphic to help. If you get symptoms in the palm of your hand, more than likely, it's Pronator Teres syndrome. Hope this helps.

Yes, especially if you wake up with numbness and experience numbness and tingling throughout your day in your hand(s).

If I recall correctly, I believe the doctor said up to 4 weeks (I had carpal and cubital tunnel surgery at the same time), and I was feeling pretty good after two weeks.

My mom had it last Thanksgiving and is doing good. Recovery was about 2-3 weeks.

It's worth it. I had both done at the same time. The next morning the wife woke up before me and closed the bedroom door. I had to call her cell to have her open it. I didn't shite for a couple of days because of the pain medication. However, thanks to the OT, we have a bidet. Walmart has some hand strengthening balls that helped with recovery

This could also be a pinched nerve in the neck.

Possibly, but in my case, it wasn't. The surgery corrected my issue.

I ended up getting both my left and right wrists/elbows corrected, but not at the same time.

If you’ve had the nerve conduction study by a reasonably good neurologist the diagnosis is secure. If you have weakness, strongly consider the surgery. If it’s just pain/sensory, would probably try conservative measures.

I think the question is what type of carpal tunnel surgery does your surgeon do. Open or Endoscopic? I sell an ECTR product and the recovery time/pain is much better than an open procedure.
