It is called the Clemson Squat and is all the rage among young sidewalk Clemson fans. The additional orange traffic cone in the bed of the truck further signifies some trashy redneck ethos that I am sure I do not understand.

Universal Citation: LA Rev Stat § 32:364
§364. Fenders and mudguards
A. Every motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle or motor-driven cycle, when operated upon a highway of this state, shall be equipped with fenders, covers, or such devices, including flaps or splash aprons, or fender flares to effectively minimize the spray or splash of water or mud or loose material on the highways to the rear of the vehicle unless the body of the vehicle or attachments thereto afford such protection. The width of such fenders, covers, or other devices shall be at least the width of the tires of the motor vehicle.
Should be cleaning up at police checkpoints.

That phenomenon abounds around Loranger. The cones are usually lifted from road side construction, Charter and ATT vehicles, etc.

I saw one of these for sale on fb marketplace and one of the comments said “observe as the wild female pickup truck squats to urinate.” The stretched photoshop pictures are as cringy as the actual vehicle.

The drivers of these trucks are the same guys who used to drive around with the huge spoiler on their honda civics. They graduated to these things.
