Carolina folks. Any update on the Murdaugh case?

Unfortunately, no. We shouldn’t expect much info to come out when SLED is involved, plus things just move more slowly in places like Colleton county.
There is probably some sort of obstruction or frickery with the investigation going on by the Murdaugh’s network of connections, but of course there’s no way to prove it right now.
It will probably be a long time before we get any sort of “answers” and plenty of doubt will probably hang over it. Should make for a good podcast one day.

I've only been able to catch whatever the mainstream has released and just saw the blood alcohol content. He was blacked out driving a boat at that level.

Just looked at his website for the first time in a while, looks like he posted about it a couple hours ago. LINK
I know a few people who have interacted or grown up around the Murdaughs and literally not one of them has ever said a positive thing about the family. Horrible what happened to that girl.

I only read that linked page and did a google search. Doesn’t appear they have shite on anyone about the murders, that family has been running 5 counties for 100 years. And that Alex Murdaugh looks like a gotdamn psycho. Wouldn’t be surprising if he ends up leaning into one or gets taken out by someone he’s fricked over.
ETA: damn, they’re reopening the 2015 murder case that may link to the family. Their servant was also suicided by falling down, and the family settled out of court for $500k. Crazy.

Just got out of rabbit hole:
1) Stephen (young gay kid) killed by a suspicious hit and run, who may have had a sexual relationship with Buster Murdaugh
2) the maid falling and dying. I’m guessing 500k was his umbrella policy limit. Seems like a low settlement for someone with that much money.
3) the boat accident/Beach dying, Paul (young son, younger brother of Buster, is main suspect)
4) double homicide of mom/son (Paul)

Any guesses on who done it? There’s like 3 deaths that are associated with that family and now two of that family have been murdered.
