Carmax price changing. Update: pic included

Went to Carmax and test drove a truck I’m planning on buying for my son. Tell the associate I liked it, but wanted to see what the Mrs thought (really buying time to get finances in order since we were gonna pay cash).
Very next day, I go to reserve a second test drive and the price jumped $2000.
Obviously can’t pay the extra $2K. What should I do? Fricking hate dealerships. I have a screenshot of the old price. Should I Karen my way up the management chain or what?
Edit: if I get good advice that works, will include pic of wife.
Update: scavenged some advice and emailed store mgr and it appears he will honor original price.

Did you have the first price in writing? I’d bring that shite back and prove they jumped it up $2k after you drove it.

Hate to break it to you, but it was already overpriced before they tacked on the extra $2k.

Test it again and pinch a loaf in the trunk.

When you go to negotiate show that. If they don’t honor it then walk.

I would probably escalate to management. Companies like Carmax and Carvana prioritize the carbuying experience for customers.

That was the price a week ago that you didn’t agree to. Unless you have a buyer’s order for that price you are SOL. I bet you wouldn’t complain if the price changed downward, so get out of here with this they can’t change the price nonsense

Sounds like a lot of tire kicking for a used car.
Have you considered asking them to honor the price?

I didn’t say they couldn’t change the price. I would consider it unethical, but not illegal. They can ask a billion dollars if they want.

Call Jackie Chiles good attorney

Email the manager with the screenshot and tell him if he honors that price then he has a sale. If he says no then there isnt much you can do.
